It is this last part that I don’t understand. The city that had to borrow money from NY state is going to have the cash to buy up buildings (or apts) now?

401K….gonna be a while. A bit ago I move the majority of my money to a friend. However, between the 401K and the IRA…I will join you before the end of the year…..or that is the expectation.

I still don't understand the hiring. A good play caller hires a seemingly terrible one. I don't get it.
It has the potential to be a home run (offensively).
Proven play caller with a fantastic QB coach. Don’t get distracted by the titles next to their names.
Having said that, who knows if Stein will be successful at running an entire program.

I did not watch any clips from practice, but I am about as sure as birth control that instructions are given without any blaring music. Then when they put the instructions into motion, the music helps keep the energy level up.
As a coach, you do whatever you have to to keep energy and intensity as high as possible.

No sir. I am not defending backdoor deals in any way. Just saying they happen every day.
More to your point, it was stated in this thread previously that subpoenas can get around NDAs for you. NDAs protect IP, Not agreements that affect the public, or tax dollars.
Or…..Start filling out FOIA forms. I have filled these out as well, FTR.

This is not unique to Landry or Louisiana.
Common practice among companies to protect their IP and the NDA allows lawmakers to be more involved and informed earlier in the process of these prospective projects.
Another swing and a miss for 4cubbies
This.
I sign NDAs all the time. For refineries, military bases, yes, data centers. All kinds of things. It happens. Do find something else to bitch about.
re: Budgets: Do you have one? If Y, do you do a mid year analysis of your spending?
Posted by Screaming Viking on 8/2/26 at 9:16 am to Everyday Is Saturday
Wife and i have two kids (17 and 19). SR year and college ages tend to have a few unforeseen expenses come up. Luckily it has never been a problem.
I have never created a budget, but I have savings amounts or levels that we adhere to every month. Where i fall short, in the eyes of the Dave Ramseys of the world, is that I do not have a job for any “extra” cash each month.
Sure I could be more diligent, but as long as we stick to the savings plan, I am comfortable. Just my $.02

Didn’t want to derail the other threads.
What have y’all done in marsh situations to improve feed for ducks?
I have brackish marsh, with no water control. TONS of hyacinths that the tide moves. East bank of plaquemines parish.
I have ordered wild rice from River Refuge Seed Company. Hurricane came in nicely salted the growth as of that time. But that is a risk we will run.
Also, any thoughts on controlling the hyacinths? Thought about putting orange plastic fencing at most of the open cuts, but there are large open areas and there is no way to cover every entrance.
TIA

Random question….NIL technically does not involve the school, however, Rev Sharing would (assumption). The rev sharing part of this must be the only way that “Ole Miss” is involved in these contracts.
Is this remotely accurate?

Similar boat here. Made the trips to Arizona, and to Washington. Attended all of the national championship games except for Clemson. Favorite: Athens as well….however that was a long time ago. Least: Knoxville.
Down to 5 remaining:
Ark - got my tix for this year. Trying to make a hunting trip on the way back home.
Kentucky - Have been told that Lexington does not necessarily care about football….I need to spend a game there. Slight possibility the wife and I make it this year.
Missouri - Hopefully, this game will show up at the end of the schedule and I can make a few hunts during this trip as well.
Oklahoma - was supposed to go last year…didn’t happen.
Ole Miss - I would not go this year if you gave me tix. Oxford PD are gonna be some busy people on game day this year. Will make this one soon.

I am fortunate to have made it to the final stage of a hunter. I am no longer compelled by letting the arrow go or pulling the trigger. That’s for the younger ones.
I have 50 plus years of killing to look back on.
Now, I’m more interested in teaching or doing conservation work. I still enjoy a cold fall morning and the sound of gobbling in the spring, but I truly don’t care if I ever kill another thing.
I think I am at the stage right before that. I still enjoy a bit of blood lust. But I get just as much joy out of feeding family/friends with that meat. Or most of all, getting to assist in a kids first kill….of any animal.
