I thought I would never support LSU but the 2019 season was the GOAT. UGA seems to had a great run this year but it will never match LSU in 2019.

Can’t argue with those hard facts. Thanks for posting that

don't forget about our sec championship opponent who also was coming off a loss. wouldnt want to forget them

True, and Georgia barely beat that team’s backup QB.

2019 LSU beat #4 Georgia by a staggering 27 points in tSECCG iirc.

If all our WRs and our star RB wasn’t hurt, we likely beat LSU in the SECC

Of course I'm biased toward LSU 2019, but UGA would have a strong argument had they beaten both Ohio State and TCU by 28 instead of 1 and 58.

The reality of UGA's team this year is they had a weakness defensively against a specific type of team... those with elite QB/WR's and good OL's that slowed the pass rush... particularly after Nolan Smith went down (which impacted the pass rush).

LSU was exactly that sort of team in 2019, so I fully understand LSU fans believing they'd have won that sort of matchup.

The part LSU fans are missing is that their defense was pretty average against a lot of different offensive styles, not just a single one... and UGA's offense this year was elite. Not just "pretty good". UGA showed several times that they were capable of going toe to toe with other great offenses and outscoring them if that's what the game called for.

My belief is that if a 2019 LSU vs a 2022 UGA game occurred, turnovers, injuries and special teams would likely be the main factors in who won such a game. UGA's offensive ability and LSU's mediocre defense would make up for LSU's offensive ability and UGA's pass defense vulnerability. It would likely be a shootout.

Georgia has won back to back championships and you're melting and posting falsehoods.

Look up the definition of “melting.” Incisive rebuttals skewering your moronic opponents is not a melt, champ.

Also, name the falsehood. I’ll wait…

I’ve seen some idiotic posts on this site, but this one might take the cake.

So you admit that LSU enjoyed home field advantage when they won Natties in New Orleans. Check mate, your point re: SECCG in ATL is now moot.

The reality is that no team gets a pass rush when the OL is allowed to tackle the defender who wins the rep.

A team like Ohio should win a game like that. For some reason, UGA outplayed them. Better playcalling and players being more "clutch" being the probable reason.

The only thing that was much better in this comparison was the 2022 offense.

I really like the fact that LSU 2019 set the Gold standard for being the GOAT and everyone will always try to compare their teams to LSU 2019. It’s a huge compliment which I appreciate enormously. So thank you Georgia fans compliment taken. Congratulations on a great season and being NCs again.

Hey, if Georgia fans think 2022 Georgia would win a shootout with 2019 LSU that's their opinion I guess.

Without injuries to Dandre Swift, it’s top 2 WRs (besides Pickens) and Pickens being suspended for a half, 2019 UGA could win a shootout with 2019 LSU.

With that said… I wish MSU could trade schedules with you next season.
