I think a lot of that has to do with costs, and people are also personally attached the the live action characters. There are few animated characters that people get emotionally attached to, and the one's they do get attached to more often than not get ruined in live action. See Cad Bane & Asoka.

I think it has more to do with how they are written. Obi and Fett were not done well in their series either but like Maul have a great story arc from start to finish.

I would be all for both getting an animated series like Maul.

UNC has a hard cap for out of state at 18%. Great for instate students but forcing the tuition to go up as well.

McCombs is firmly in the Top 10 undergraduate business schools along with Indiana Kelley and a few others like UNC.

Maybe for undergrad and in specific disciplines but I was referencing overall including Graduate programs. In the end it really comes down to who is ranking who (which service) as they all vary.

Has moved up but I believe Owens(Vandy) is ranked higher in the SEC.

I thought UTs fight song was Down the Field?

The same thing was said about Derrick Herny coming out of HS.

She also played a great role in I am Sam with Sean Penn
Natalie Portman in Professional was very good.

Abigal Breslin in Little Miss Sunshine was outstanding even with such a great cast around her.

Drew Barrymore in ET and Firestarter

Was sort of expecting something like that plus the mother I was ready for her to go.

I would say the death of Hodor was moreso.

Time will tell. Remember Clone Wars was done before Kennedy got involved. SW Rebels she was not involved in nor the new Maul series. All three series he created. Maybe animation is better for him who knows.

All the live action shows he is involved in she was the producer. It could be her influence is just that bad when she is involved.

Without Filoni Ashoka and Thrawn would have never been brought into Canon.

Her downfall with SW was her arrogance. She believed she could do what Lucas did. Combine that with her insistence of making SW woke killed the franchise.

All she, Disney, or anyone had to do was use what had been created by third parties for the two decades after the original trilogy as the franchise would be pumping out great material for the next century. The moment she declared what was canon and only canon would be used, Star Wars died for the most part.
Just watched and Filoni has created another great series

He has a great arc to follow. I hope someday they can put it all together but not sure if this series will make it to Solo and if it does they will miss a lot.

His cameo happens 10 years from where this show has started and his ending in Rebels is 17 years away.

Not gonna lie DeBoer seems different this spring. It seems like he has more confidence and is excited about this group. These are all his guys now who want to play for him and not half Saban guys anymore

I actually got to meet one of the coaches while UA was on spring break a few weeks ago. His son runs relays on the track team with mine. The overall feeling with the staff is they are very excited about what they were able to bring in and going into the fall. Seems to be a very good vibe in the locker room and with the staff.

UNC almost exclusively in the past has hired alum.

The last three coaches Doherty, Williams, and Davis have been the only three coaches in the last 100 years that are alum from UNC. The 8 or 9 before that including D Smith who was there for 36 years were not alum.
Not sure to be honest but probably due to time constraints as he wanted to keep on the one ring. The book ended added another layer in a way that extended past the one ring.
The only thing I wish was in the movies was the actual book ending with the retaking of the Shire and how Saruman died in the Shire.
Not sure what the measure is but NC is one of the top 10 fastest growing states in the country and expected at current growth to be ranked 7th in the US. Problem it is all concentrated in specific areas with a large portion of the state declining and struggling.

And special ed kids who's families need the resources government schools provide. This is the only area where public schools currently have an advantage over other facilities imo. Private facilities simply can't compete with those resources for children with special needs.

Yes to an extent but there isn't enough funding to provide the services needed. Why the private sector in services has grown so rapidly. Many systems share specialists who have to cover multiple schools and even in those settings they are doing the bare minimum just to maintain what little funding they receive.

coupled with teaching to the lowest common denominator.

Which is what I said. The concern in public education is that schools/systems chase numbers. They focus is on padding numbers due to public schools being micromanaged at both the state and federal level. Schools use numbers as a measure which is tied to funding. If they do not meet those numbers their funding can be jeopardized. Even more important for Title III schools. So, the focus is no longer on learning but boosting numbers at every level.

It is also not as much about selective discipline as it is lack of. Schools are so worried about numbers behavior goes unchecked. When public school systems require teachers to give every student a minimum of a 50 on their first report card each semester whether they did work or not, waive attendance policy, and EOCs only become window dressing it creates a huge vacuum.

In NC public schools are seeing a decline in enrollment. Which raises questions as state population continues to increase especially with families moving in. Charter, private, and home schools are on the rise cross the country and for good reason.

ND no longer carries the clout they once did. We saw that this year when they were snubbed from the playoffs. Also with so many streaming platforms NBC no longer has the leverage it once did. ND was able to sit at the table when the big 3 controlled CFB on TV. The previous relationship with ND and NBC is losing its luster and will continue to do so now that ND is heading down a path where conferences are going to stop scheduling them and the ratings will continue to drop as they are currently doing.

ND will end up in a conference or become another G6 team looking for games.
