Bama broke the rant so badly, they're literally thrilled that two B1G teams got in the playoff.

Jerry Jones and the Tysons don’t care if Arky wins football games either. Lol
It’s really pitiful that you have the most collective big money “boosters” who couldn’t care less if Arky ever won another football game.

I don't know about quitting but it will level the playing field. The main reason Saban and Alabama have been so successful is that they have simply had 3 to 4 times more talent than most of the teams they play. I have never seen him as a great gameday coach. When matched up against a team of near equal talent his record is much less impressive.

That is why he got so pissed over this NIL phase college sports has moved into. When you have set up an organization that allows you to almost exclusively get away with paying players on an industrial scale this NIL stuff has to really chap your arse. Now everyone can pay players.

To use another analogy, the last thing the biggest most well organized and well protected bootlegger in the land wants is for booze to be legalized. LOL!

While this is true from a talent standpoint, these players haven't been in your system. They don't know the players or the plays. I think Saban has proven the "system" or more aptly "the process" concept more than any coach in my lifetime. He's always had 2-3 talented players learning every position so well they can do it in their sleep. They know each others tendencies and their strengths and weaknesses. They just play together as a unit.

You can't learn all that in 6-9 months.

Ed Orgeron did it at LSU. So have some of the others when your team is a quarterback and a few other players away from winning a championship.

I would bet the opposite.

Saban seems to figure out how to maximize advantage with each new move.

HUNH, he adjusted.
Rules changes,he adjusted.

Somehow he will use the portal to upgrade talent and get rid of deadwood.

He will adjust and win. At the end of the day, he is the GOAT.

I don't know if you have checked, but that DC has Bama 4th nationally in total defense (yards per play) and 9th in scoring defense. You can't ask for much more than that.

You can ask for a DC that doesn’t continue to allow safeties to line up on a receiver who keeps burning them. - See Tennessee game.

You can ask for a DC who doesn’t line the defense up in a 1-4-6 set that allows a team to absolutely gash said defense. - See LSU game.

You can ask for a DC who adjusts to an offense that is gashing his defense with sweeps and QB runs rather than just letting it happen. - See Auburn game.

When you get caught up in just numbers and stats, you miss these things. Alabama’s defense rarely stood when it mattered most. Bryce Young never left the field after Alabama’s final possession this year trailing, yet Alabama lost two games.

Nobody thinks he can sustain it forever, but if you think Nick Saban can’t adapt in the short term 2-4 years….“you’re delusional”…see how that works.

My bet is Saban/Alabama will be better “at the portal wars” no matter what coach is on our sidelines and infinitely better than whoever Arky trots out. As a fan, that’s all we can ask for.

The Charger is being discontinued, I guess we're going to have to give out Teslas.

Love to see the hopes and dreams of people displayed publicly. The end has been coming for Saban for a decade according to the same people. Fun to watch him prove them wrong time after time. The guy just set a record for winning at least 10 games for 15 years in a row. The majority of fans in this thread would give their left nut for just 1 of those seasons.

I remember Saban catching hell from whiners like you for processing players to open up scholarships. How can he do that to these poor kids? Now it's, the transfer portal is the end of Saban. You know what just happened, the transfer portal just gave Saban 9-10 more scholly's to hand out.
