We will look back in 5 years and realize that NIL and the prevalence of the transfer portal made Saban quit.

He had a good run but it's impossible to bury a stockpile of 5 stars on the bench for 3-4 years anymore.

Didn’t realize the Transfer Portal identified as Bill O’Brien

It works both ways. Now they can just get starters from other school. The downfall will be his coordinators if he keeps this up

This isn't correctable. O'brien will get blamed for the first 18 months, but it is over.

Congrats on the nice run.

He'll just take a year to adjust and master that shite, too.

He made a bad hire in BoB who coaches a CFB team like an NFL team and has been all in on a DC that is too cerebral for the talent.

It will course correct. The man has 2 NCs left in him and it eats the CFB fan world up

I heard this last off season too, but it didn't happen and/or matter. Even shitty 6-6 Arkansas put up 26 points on his lousy defense. It's laughable they are even ranked where they are

There's a reason he is whining about it so much right now, because he knows he's powerless to what's happening.

If he actually felt he could master it, he wouldn't be bitching so much.

BOBs offense

National

Scoring - 5th
Rush - 29th
Pass - 23
Total - 14th
3rd - 24th

SEC

Score - 2
Rush - 7
Pass - 4
Total - 4
3rd - 4

Keep blaming the coordinators and thinking it’s an easy fix.

The decline is gonna be a long bumpy road for you

Wouldn’t put it past him but at the same time the issues that come with NIL are some of the same reasons he wasn’t as effective in the NFL. It’s a lot easier to force break players to buy in or not play when they’re not making money and can’t leave easily. And the older he gets, the harder it is for anyone to change. But he’s shown he can adapt more than anyone over the years so we’ll see

Lol. He's whined about every rule, format, and recruiting change that has occurred. He subsequently took a major to minor black eye in the area the direct year after before going on to dominate the year after.

It is what it is

Average bama fan is in for a lot of heartache if they feel even remotely close to this poor guy. "Took starters from other schools" and still ended up with Lord Nick begging the committee to put them in ahead of TCU and OSU after he couldn't find enough talent to beat Tennessee or LSU and barely eeked out wins against Aggies and ole miss.

You also think Pete Golding is a good DC. I'll just continue to laugh at your stupidity.

Why are you posting their records? Are you seriously trying to compare the two?
