end of Saban

His worst team since 2008 just finished 5th in the CFP final poll. I think many would take that.

He needs more accountability from coaches, or changes, and some alphas to step up, but it's there for him.

Honestly, there are 4 teams very excited he was left out of the final 4. And, for the record, they were deservedly left out.

Sure...but will YOU take it when he finishes 10th or 15th in the next two years?

Average bama fan is in for a lot of heartache if they feel even remotely close to this poor guy. "Took starters from other schools" and still ended up with Lord Nick begging the committee to put them in ahead of TCU and OSU after he couldn't find enough talent to beat Tennessee or LSU and barely eeked out wins against Aggies and ole miss.

Imagine finishing 5th and you’re suddenly not a good coach anymore.

And also, imagine being an Arkansas fan who will probably never sniff a playoff invite even with a 12 team format and talking shite about the GOAT for going 10-2 and losing the games by a combined 4 points. Wtf do you know about anything? Lol

Another person that doesn't know what they are talking about. I bet you think the defense is the reason Alabama lost the national championship in 2016.

BooB is one reason the best qb in the country was wasted.

I think the NIL helps less successful teams from getting raided by more prestigious programs. Now they can use money and keep the players they really want to from going into the portal.

And what string is that?
Saban swapped his offense to a HUNH and did it 10 times better than Gus. No rules were changed.
He’ll do the same with NIL.
How old are you? 14? Did you just start following CFB? Bert and Saban were at the forefront of the whiny bitch brigade, complaining about HUNH. Saban single handedly got the rules changed on substitutions. Are you too young to remember the sanctimonious BS about "player safety"?

Yet no credit for getting him a Heisman as a sophomore? Bama fans are spoiled brats, incapable of seeing the drop off of talent at WR, RB and OL. Too used to too many consecutive years of wash, rinse, repeat. Expecting no time for development. You had a run of top tier talent at every position. Let me know when BOB is the position coach responsible for the OL missing blocks, WR getting open, and RBs hitting the hole like Henry, Richardson, and Ingram. Alabama has issues, but nobody wants to address the guy at the helm.

With the transfer portal, Saban not being able to horde talent is definitely going to hurt him. He needs a LOT of talent to succeed because he isn't a great coach and he is very spotty on hiring good coaches. Saban is however a great organizer and methodical planner who has a hard drive ethic, but he is loyal to a fault with his coaches and keeps bad ones around too long.

No one will be able to horde talent. I think rosters will be about the size of NFL teams eventually.

Saban and Bear could coach for shite.

Dude, really? He is likely the greatest defensive coach in the history of college football. The man being 71 years old and possibly losing his edge has some validity, but this does not.

You jest but a lot of boosters don’t care about winning a championship. The Waltons and Phil Knight couldn’t care less. That’s why Arky and Oregon will never win one.

Where are 40% of the college football players going to go? Is Thanos going to just snap his fingers again?

This… imagine teams not using their scholarships…

NFL rosters aren’t the size they are because coaches wouldn’t take more players lmao

The Waltons don't but the Hunts, Jerry Jones, Tysons and Stephens do.

Saban is a bitch.... cried on national tv for a playoff spot and didnt get it. Complains about the refs and says game is not fair whenever he loses. justified his player hitting a woman and the excuse was players were scared.

Just poor sportsman ship... used to admire saban but now he showed his true colors. Nothing but a spoiled cry baby.

Yup

The transfer portal and NIL will bring a lot of parity to cfb. Saban will no longer be able to just out talent everyone every game, he’ll actually have to hire and retain great coordinators to stay ahead of the pack. His people skills aren’t exactly conducive to making great coordinators want to stick around.
