When interviewed yesterday AG Murrill’s first words were “Go Tigers!” She then spent over two minutes explaining why she is continuing to fight the SEC over the rule prohibiting pro players. She proved she meant it by filing an amicus brief.
At this point the fight has become Louisiana vs. the SEC.

Kicking us out over not breaking any rules but because they don't like current administration and Kiffin made a Spurrier-esque half time joke is one of the shortest sighted things I can imagine.
Y'all aren't getting kicked out. All of this is just a bunch of theatrics by Sankey. I highly doubt he can even remotely come close to getting the votes to do it, even if that was the true intent, which I don't think it is.

This is another issue for LSU. The other members believe Rousse knew that LSU intended to break the rule and that is why he abstained from voting on the penalties.

And the NCAA & SEC are tired of being handed their asses in court cases and local judges telling the head office what to do.
Consider this: Wright and Harris were well within their rights to seek a roster spot at a school of their choosing after the NCAA lost the 5 for 5 case. They picked LSU (or, if you prefer, selected LSU's winning NIL bid from a pile of others submitted by other schools).
Then the SEC decided to finally grow a pair and act like an actual governing body of a conference - and decided to "enforce" their rules (albeit selectively) and told them that they can't play in the SEC due to "rules" (which even Sankey couldn't clearly identify, describe, or even explain under oath in court).
Legally, they had the right to play. They selected LSU who - at the time - thought they were cleared (legally) to sign them. Then the SEC said NO.
What was LSU to do? If they went back on their offer then they opened themselves up to litigation from those same two students - part of a class that had already decided to fight the college ruling bodies - and had won.
Everything that followed from those events was simply a comedy of errors - bound to happen because amateur sports aren't amateur anymore and everyone everywhere is free to litigate every decision they disagree with (from these students all the way to the current occupant of the Oval Office).
Lane and LSU simply kept all their options open waiting for the situation to play out - regardless of which way it went.
They left two roster spots open for Wright and Harris and let them enroll in school, but didn't actually roster them or play them (in compliance with SEC rules). They also didn't break any of the SEC's ever-changing rules, and Kiffin even bluntly stated that they'll "obey the rules of the SEC" - which they did.
So, no, there isn't some grand conspiracy at hand. It's just the result of the current state of CFB. The only reason the governor and others in government are involved is because LSU football is, like most big SEC schools, part of the culture and fabric of the state. NOT getting involved when the big guns came out on the other side was never an option.
