The officials didn’t know how to ref someone so much bigger and stronger than the players around him. He was hit, pushed and held on every play. They would be faced with calling fouls on every play or give them leverage to play Shaq.

As I watch Wemby (different type of player and not saying Shaq is Wemby or Wemby is Shaq) every time down the court they hold him and push on him. Do they stop game and call every foul or let them play…. At some point Shaq/Wemby get frustrated and push back…Reminds me of the early 1990s Shaq.

I agree. I am a casual fan and not a technical expert… but I know momentum means a lot in competitive sports… that was a huge momentum killer. Making that poor lady stand there for eternity before her routine was a travesty.
