The judge who ruled Wright and Harris eligible? Both Louisiana judges. LSU fans themselves boasted and bragged that this is just how things are in Louisiana.
Even now that the shite has hit the fan, instead of being conciliatory the head of the Louisiana justice system, the Louisiana AG, made a public statement just yesterday promising to fight the SEC.
Many of the SEC voting members do not believe a member can be allowed to stay who has weaponized an entire state against the other 15 members.
Texas Tech made a test run. The Big 12 slapped them into place. Texas Tech waived the white flag.
LSU on the other hand has indicated they will fight. If so this will end so badly for them.

Yes. Took me about 2 minutes. I'm just fascinated with this guy and cajunbama, AHM21 and some of these other people who have the time to do this.
craptondalton is no idiot. He writes well. His logic is fatally skewed by his complete inability to remain remotely neutral but he's obviously not an idiot.
Maybe he just made it big in PE or something and has time to do this from his boat. None of my business but I can't help but thinking that some of these personalities are Rant employees that are paid to stir up shite.
I just can't imagine how angry someone has to be to be so negative all the time toward another school and very curious how it turned out to be 100% focused on a single school.
I mean, I am certainly no Aggie fan and want to beat the hell out of them every year but I could never invest so much of my life into what essentially amounts to hate journaling into a computer all day. Maybe it's like one of those rage room type things.
I'd love to meet the guy. I want to know his backstory. It'd be a fascinating psychological study.

I didn't "fail to mention" anything. What you said is irrelevant to the thread, which said LSU had "weaponized" the state of Louisiana. I pointed out that the state of Tennessee sued the NCAA for investigating UTk and wondered if the state of Tennessee was "weaponized" too.
As for Aguilar being "shot down", I don't think Tennessee even wanted Aguilar back. They had two young QB's on roster and wanted to move on to the future. But whether they did or didn't, the state wasn't a party involved in Aguilar's case and the state definitely wasn't shot down on the case that they cared enough to bring to court.

Coming from a bama fan that has had multiple players get away with several crimes due to their own justice system, this is hilarious.

FYI, that is how it works. The governor appoints these people and trustees and they always has had a hand in the running of the institution. You really think JBE did not pick Tate. if you do, then you are naive at best, stupid at worse.
It is not corruption because a governor made a decision you disagree with...

Let’s look at the actual math regarding the SEC/LSU drama. People are acting like John Kennedy, Mike Johnson, and Steve Scalise can just single-handedly dismantle the SEC. Louisiana only has 8 total members in Congress. When it comes down to a legislative fight, it’s Louisiana’s 8 reps against the combined political power of every other SEC state. Lawmakers from Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Florida, and Tennessee aren't going to let Louisiana politicians burn down the conference or hurt their own flagship universities.Furthermore, the idea that Governor Landry has a golden ticket to the White House on this doesn't add up. The President has been highly vocal about NIL and wanting college sports to return to an amateur model, making him a major proponent of the Protect College Sports Act (PCSA). The executive branch isn't going to bail LSU out here.

Its about whether or not the SEC has a right to self governance outside the SEC or are they as toothless as the NCAA and that is pretty much it. This is to see where the SEC stands on its future bid to break from the NCAA

Ole Miss people will try to tell you that Chambliss only sued the NCAA, not the SEC.
What they leave out is that the Louisiana players lawsuit was originally only against the NCAA. The plaintiffs' lawyers only amended the suit to add the SEC as a defendant because the SEC basically said they didn't give a frick about whatever the judge's ruling was going to be and that a school who added those players would face harsh penalties or expulsion, even if the court ruled the players eligible.
If the SEC had done the same thing while the Chambliss case was still in court and threatened Ole Miss with sanctions for keeping Chambliss on the roster, you can bet your arse that Chambliss' lawyers would have added the SEC to their lawsuit too.

Really? My sweet summer child.
Two things. 1). We are a land of laws, those things involve courts, not some despotic commish. If the commissioner of the SEC, which participates in NCAA athletics is ignorant to NCAA rulings…are you willing to just accept his judgement?
2.). If you think the 10 red state governors that have public institutions in the SEC haven’t already been contacted by Landry and subsequently decided to walk almost lock step, you are kidding yourself. Yeah 1 or 2 may deviate, but just to grandstand. Nothing is happening. The exposure to ridiculous legal action is not anything any of them want to deal with.
