Crazy as it sounds…and I am the last one to say this 3 months ago…I’m kind of enjoying this season. With the exception of Vandy and Arkie anybody can beat anybody. Bama with a measly 25-30 million dollar NIL just took down a 50 million dollar roster with like 6 former Bama starters who left for more money. 3 teams with half of Oregons roster money have taken them down. Kentucky leading the SEC with an NIL budget even less than Bama’s. Transfer portal has created parity and big money doesn’t necessarily mean big wins.

I'm pretty sure it was an attempt at humor. He should have seen the response coming.

College football needs someone, some entity, something to be in charge.
Right now coaches and players are raking in millions, I am don't begrudge them that, but without any accountability.
They can go where they want, when they want and even choose which games to suit up for and which ones to sit out.
Until there are enforceable rules in place the game will continue this downward spiral.
Twenty four playoff teams? C'mon this is football not basketball but now the playoffs have been wrecked.
Maybe ESPN needs to be reigned in as well.

The last Dodge Challenger rolled off the assembly line on December 22nd, 2023 in Brampton, Ontario.
19 days later Nick Saban announced his retirement.
Coincidence or not?

OP could always find a different team to follow.

the SEC also needs someone other than a very accomplished highly regarded career educator - operating as conference commissioner in this present day professional sports environment -

That probably sounded a lot funnier in your head.

+1
This is the way.
right now, we have utter chaos - complete disorder; almost like cats sleeping with dogs.

CFB is deader than the beer at a political rally. The 24 team playoff is the last dying gasp to shore up what has become an unsustainable amount of pressure on programs to convince donors to continue to fund a system where high school kids without a snap in CFB are paid millions of dollars to play football. 24 teams in the playoff will give programs another 4-5 years of scamming donors and then CFB is going to have to come up with more smoke and mirrors or its done. Anyone who thinks the current system is sustainable is just wrong.
Personally I can't wait for this. It will be much better once the dumb arse billionaires grow tired of pissing their money away.

Yup..Let Bama cheat again and pay NIL while nobody else is allowed to....Would be GREAT for football.
Actually, the parity in CFB is fun ,and watching you guys having to compete on a level playing field s the icing on the cake.

College football-the old way-ended after the 2019 season. It is now a tournament sport-programs won't dominate-teams will. See Indiana 2025.

I know you guys are with me on this, thank you means so much!
"God" would want parity. Bama cheated for years and you all are melting now. I don't think God likes that.
