Someone needs to get Jonathan Smith. Still think he can be a good coach.
Think of the shite you've seen just the last few years. Yes, they can absolutely be that stupid.
Get rid of the championship games and have play in games. I've heard of this . . .
He might work at UAB, or any number of FCS programs. Or he could hold clipboards for his brother.

So of course Deboer is going to jump from the Bama frying pan into the 8th circle of Dante's inferno that currently is Penn State.
Of course, what else could it possibly be! The enemies must be confused and obfuscated. The chance cannot be taken that Coastal Carolina could steal ones coach away. Brilliant!
Again, why would you be offering Sitake, or Bhrom, or any of the others that have said no, if the great white whale is already harpooned and waiting?

Is this official?
Brohm just announced he's staying. PSU boosters now openly demanding Terry be given the job.
All that's left for them. Expect Kraft to step down next week.
TheCAW has crushed my hopes of making enough money selling pitchforks and torches in Florida to fund my island retirement. Best go unload the truck.
re: Collin Klein to KSU…current coach Kleiman to retire

Damn, K-State moved so fast Chicken never got them listed.
I've heard several advance the theory of a playoff coach in waiting, but why then go so hard for Sitake? For that matter why fire Franklin in October? In any case, waiting for such a hire makes no sense with the current calendar.
Another voice cries out for a sarcasm font.

Supposedly after Chesneys interview Kraft decided he was too "raw".
I suspect that means his name wasn't big enough.

Yes.
All burned to the ground now. Franklin may become to PSU what Bo Pelini has become to Nebraska.

Cruising a number of PSU forums (all currently enveloped in flames), the overall sentiment seems to be: the AD, Patrick Kraft, of the Mac & cheese family, had a personal dislike of Franklin. In a mid season hissy fit, egged on by the BoT and an avalanche of emails, Franklin was fired.
Kraft decided to conduct the coaching search himself, thinking Big Names would be beating down his door.
They didn't.
After a month of silence, Kraft began making calls, but by now all of the significant candidates were in negotiations with other parties, leaving Kraft to unwittingly become third party leverage easily used to sweeten multiple pots.
Not helping has been Franklin and Sexton telling anyone who cares to listen what fools are the PSU admins, even as Sexton and Dowdle and any other agent out there plan to drain every drop of fiduciary blood from Kraft's veins.
Kraft is flailing now, the Mormons just crumbled his cookie, and a lot of candidates are thinking "maybe in a year or two".
Total shitshow.

Kansas had a very powerful program prior to the Great War.
