Trump: income taxes will be substantially reduced, maybe even completely eliminated

So much cognitive dissonance, the cultists seriously believe this will happen.
So instead of making the playing field even, it will make the distribution of talent even worse?

Who is still trying to argue this is a good thing?

Any SEC Rant poster with a little orange longhorn cow thingie after their name for one.

Now admittedly Sarkisian has turned things around for UT and I counter that the ballot is still out on how long he can keep it up before the old bugaboo that kept whorns from winning it all consistently (i.e. their collective sense of entitlement) kicks in all over again.

The success saxet enjoyed prior to Sarkisian's arrival was almost always due to whorn players overpowering the opposition rather than coaching and player development.

Oklahoma has always had to play with a talent differential compared to saxet yet look up Bob Stoops or go back further and check out Barry Switzer's record vs whornies.

There's a reason coaching salaries are what they are, just too bad the college game now has to pay the players as if they are already in the NFL.
You think the 2025 whorns won't be as good as the 2024 whorns?
So far no team has shown a willingness to take on the SS project and some point to how poorly Shadeur interviewed.

He wouldn't be the first head case to suit up in the NFL so I suspect the real reason no team wants Shadeur is due to having a daddy like Deion who would have access, insinuating himself into the locker room, practice field and sideline and not as a silent observer.
From what I read, QB's who are older when they enter the league as Shough is tend to not do so well.

In other words it took them a long time to learn how to college QB and the NFL game is just too big, too fast and too complex for an older guy to adjust.
The one I want to see is a pitbull vs a pitbull's weight of chihuahuas.
Trump vows . . . blah blah blah.

How can anyone who has not spent the last 8 years in a coma trust ANYTHING he says?
Yeah, as the draft got down to the teams in the 20+ positions there was Sanders listed as the #1 prospect on the board but the only spot for him at that point went to Dart.

Dad Sanders will have to be content seeing Hunter go at #2.
As the draft wore on, pick after pick with the odds of Sanders lasting past a certain number of draft points rising it became comical as mentions of Sheduer only trailed off because none of the remaining teams were in the market for a new QB.

OTOH, he will be a bargain for the team that does draft him not having to pay him first round money.
I agree with this and the other posters, there is only so much money and NIL is like a newborn with a big appetite.
Sooner fans don't consider Arkie a rival but for those of us old enough to have sat through that loss to them in the 77 Orange Bowl, the two bowl games Oklahoma has beaten them since are not enough.

They hire a deserter.

A matter of semantics.

I call him a mercenary.

Gotcha!

Trump Shoots Down Millionaire’s Tax Trial Balloon

WASHINGTON—President Trump tossed cold water on the idea of raising tax rates on the highest-income Americans, ending for now a Republican flirtation with higher taxes at the top to help pay for his broader agenda.

Did ANYONE honestly think he'd approve a tax increase on himself, his family and ALL of his friends, which BTW does NOT include anyone who posts here so unless you and the orange hair guy are exchanging Christmas cards don't delude yourself.

Asked Wednesday by a reporter if he backed a millionaire’s tax, Trump said he feared wealthy Americans would move overseas to avoid higher taxes.

“It would be very disruptive, because a lot of the millionaires would leave the country,” he said. “You’ll lose a lot of money if you do that.”

LOL As if . . .
Rose Bowl will kick off an hour earlier in 2026 as part of College Football Playoff kickoff time changes

The second-half sunset has long been a selling point for the Rose Bowl after the game's traditional 2 p.m. PT kickoff

The 2026 Rose Bowl will kick off approximately an hour earlier than it traditionally has.

ESPN and the College Football Playoff announced the three quarterfinal games on New Year’s Day will begin earlier than they did a season ago. The Orange Bowl will kick off at noon ET, the Rose Bowl will begin at 4 p.m. ET and the Sugar Bowl will begin at 8 p.m. ET.
So many 2nd place finishes

Kinda reminds me of how whorns Big XII football fortunes.
It is as the title says, gives kids a head start in school during a time of life when they absorb so much.

Which do you think leads to better education, a child sitting at home watching television all day or spending a few hours with other children and getting introduced to the basics of learning, such as the alphabet, numbers or even how to write their own name.

Children from low income families in particular benefit from this program and it is sad to see a government that devalues it's children when the return on the investment is so great.

One of my daughters is an elementary school teacher. Her first two jobs before that were working as a teacher with Head Start.

Oklahoma's 2025 record is full of ifs at this point.

Sooners can return to a double-digit win season

if the offensive line play improves . . . a lot

if Mateer elevates QB play to the level of Dillon Gabriel

if the RB's don't bolt for the portal because there are too many of them

if the receiver corp stays healthy

if the defense can overcome losing the best LB and secondary in a generation

if the offense doesn't give away a game after taking a lead late
And in related news, UCLA's Joey Aguilar, who transferred to UCLA just a few months ago, is now on his way out. He struck a deal Monday afternoon to sign with Tennessee.
we don't deserve him

This statement is true on so many levels . . .
