I am going to buy a nice bottle of bourbon to bring to my friend's BBQ and have a day. I have a new 'Murica shirt too that the wife hasn't seen yet. Mine is a bit more conservative that yours. Those are awesome by the way.

I am old enough to remember the 200th anniversary. I was only a teenager, but it was an awesome celebration. I doubt it entered any American's mind to not celebrate it like the left is saying today.
In March, my company cut me back to half time since we were low on billable engineering work. It allows me to keep my benefits (insurance, etc.) but I only get half the pay. I was stressed a bit the first week and then decided that first weekend that I should just enjoy this season in my life. It is making me lean toward retirement more and more although I was trying to work a few more years.
Scott Jennings pointed out to CNN that they took down their higher prices index without saying a thing.

But do they still do that.

Yes. There is some company that comes around my neighborhood that puts out leaflets advertising they will paint the numbers. They do this every year and occasionally I see some house that took them up on it.
Yes, it was one of the most miserable experiences I have ever had. Ate some bad hamburger meat the night before my first day on the job after graduating from LSU. I was up most of the night vomiting and could not call in sick on my first day. Drove to the plant drinking a bottle of Pepto. I was in training, so they had me and a couple of other guys working outside in the May Louisiana sun tearing equipment down. Longest day of my life I think.
This case hit close to home not only by location but my son went to Texas St. and would make that trek to come home to see us.

On December 13, 2020, Jason Landry, a 21-year-old student at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, disappeared after his car was found crashed and abandoned along a rural gravel road near Luling, Texas. Landry had been driving from San Marcos to his family home in Missouri City, Texas, but never arrived.

His vehicle was discovered shortly after midnight on Salt Flat Road in Caldwell County, Texas. Several personal belongings, including clothing, were found scattered along the roadway near the crash site, but Landry himself was not located. Despite extensive searches by law enforcement and volunteer organizations, he has not been located.

Morning
I am really enjoying this thread with all the stories. I had my hotel booked for this year along with a couple of tailgate buddies. Did not work out but I am going to make it one day to see LSU in the CWS.

Note to self: Book hotel for next year.
