Exactly. Brodie was getting tossed around like a rag doll and you didn’t see Bama start a fight like that team from Athens, GA.

I never see many problems around either campus on Gameday either.

It's a pretty respectful rivalry when the folks actually get together for the game.

Go back and observe the game and look at who started what in the FIRST drive of the game.
There was a personal foul on the first offensive play of the game.

It wasn't on Auburn.

That Fairley gif is so awesome. Its the gif that keeps on giving. It rustles the Mutts jimmie's every fricking time. Without fail.

Yeah the players don't act stupid unlike the fan base does.

The players typically know and respect each other. It's the fans who engage in classless behavior.

Compare that with Georgia who in 2010 tried to start an all out brawl with Auburn. Or SC-Clemson who were swinging helmets at each other.

Georgia pulled some shite like that before the Bama game in 2015. Ended in an arse whooping.

That is the truth I've been to many games in Auburn Birmingham and Tuscaloosa seen some drunk people act idiotic but I've never had problems in Tuscaloosa with fans. Only problems at Legion Field were with the guys who would "watch" your car for you LOL

Did it bother you that Fairley was the honorary captain on Saturday

Ben Jones is the biggest POS in SEC history. Frick that fat frick. But Fairly ended it as soon as he started it so I didn't dwell on it like these leghumpers.

I don’t think there’s much “hate” among the fans either. Fineboob callers notwithstanding. The message boards have stoked some fires, but IRL, the fan bases get along pretty well, imo.

oh, frick Auburn.

It is funny how people forget what the Uga OL was doing first, but carry on if you must.

Why is it so hard for Auburn fans to accept blame once in a while? With them it is always someone else's fault.

I remember AU defensive line helping Brodie up after they were killing him. They were almost apologetic.

I don't blame UGA for standing up for their QB.

Possibly wouldve worked better if they had BLOCKED for him.

Its been much cleaner since Saban went to Alabama, than before.

Not saying it was Alabama that was dirty, just that he has a ton of professionalism and good control of his team.

This is a series that was ended because of its over-intensity for a time; some of that came from the football field.

I have told people for years it isn't nearly as intense for players as for fans. The uga rivalry has gone up since 2010. Those blaming Fairley should watch the game again. He certainly hit Murray late once, but there was some dirty, chippy crap that was uga.

On Saturday, despite some personal fouls and shoving matches, I saw several acts of sportsmanship by both teams.

Everybody is hanging out with friends and family and friends of friends. It's actually probably the most fun/nervous tailgating I ever do. It'd like, we're all friends and having fun, but we all know we want to see the others team suffer a terrible death very shortly.

No way. It has been clean my entire life (basically since I became aware in 1990ish at least).

I honestly can't remember a single dirty hit or continuous fighting/acting like an idiot moment in the last 25 years. Now, I'm sure they have happened and I'm just forgetting, but that game is almost always played up to the whistle and no further.

The hillbilly bowl is a game of mutual respect. There's no reason for one schools team/fans to try and out hillbilly the other, because it would end in a draw and they know it would he a futile attempt. I mean seriously, neither school from that arse backwards state has any class, so they're pretty much the same. They're all related amin some form or fashion lol. It's a family affair, literally. "I just have too much bama in me", hahaha, it's so true. Stay classy, you bama redneck motherfrickers, stay classy.
