The interesting thing to me is that the Iron Bowl has never been a chippy game

At least the ones that I remember. The fans hate each other sure but I don’t recall the players ever talking much trash or getting in scraps on the field.
Compare that with Georgia who in 2010 tried to start an all out brawl with Auburn. Or SC-Clemson who were swinging helmets at each other.
Nice to see the Tigers and Tide rise above.

frick UGA but Fairley was such a piece of shite in that 2010 game. I don't blame UGA for standing up for their QB.

Nah, it was accurate. Just pulled up some highlights of the game on YouTube. Murray got hit late the very first offensive play for UGA. The same damn drive a play or two later is when Fairley dragged his facemask across Murray's chin after a borderline late hit.

I once saw Chris Capps attempt to get his QB murdered in the Iron Bowl. Other than that it’s about respect.
