Gene Stallings acts exactly like an Aggie, seeing as he is an Aggie.
You’re a child.

In Jackson, we don't try to get people killed. We succeed.

It's not so much about geographic centrality as it's a matter of how many teams are within a 4 hour drive and Birmingham is the optimal spot in that regard: Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss State, Georgia, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt are within that 4 hour span which is half of the current SEC. Columbia, SC and New Orleans are 5 hours (Baton Rouge, 6). You don't really have this kind of geographic set up in any other city.
Driving to games. How quaint.

Is that what you think that was about?
Surely you realize a large number of people drive their RVs to the SEC tournament, right?

Having a ballpark with access to hotels and restaurants within walking distance should be prioritized over RV parking. Hoover has some other things going for it, but the folks who are enamored with RV parking are missing what is important.

How many times have you been to the tournament?

How about having the SEC tournament at a venue where you can arrive by boat?
I give you Joe Riley Park, Charleston SC

Because that's not what the fans who attend the tournament want.

I present to you reason 10,342 why Texas A&M and their fans do not belong in the SEC.

Ever been to Charleston?
For one thing, I was being facetious. I doubt that anyone west of the Mississippi would consider coming to the Atlantic Coast.
So let’s discuss the other things brought up in this thread. RV parking? The Citadel is next door to the Joe. Plenty of parking for RVs. Facilities? Again, The Citadel is next door. College of Charleston’s field is 5 miles away.
Things to do? It’s Charleston. Restaurants? Charleston is second only to New Orleans when it comes to food in the South. Hotels? 5 within walking distance of the Joe, and literally dozens in downtown.
This board is either nothing but trolling, or taking itself WAY too serious.

Anyone wanting this thing in a MLB stadium has lost their mind. You get zero atmosphere with 8,000 people in a 45,000 seat stadium.
I think moving it around is fine, but the thing Hoover has going for it is that the locals do a fairly good job of supporting it. It could be tough to replicate that in some places.

LSU fans freaked out?!? We prefer to play in Omaha that’s our preferred ballpark. Thanks for participating though

You won't have to worry about an Auburn home-field advantage this year

The people bitching about it have never been nor are ever going. When you watch on tv what damn difference does it make where it is. And in the grand scheme of things it’s insignificant anyway. Much ado about nothing.

I watched a couple of Big 12 tournament games after it moved into a MLB park. It looked awful. The crowd was sparse and the whole place just looked dead.

Pearl is not Jackson and Trustmark Park is in a nice development. redruM is not an issue there.

I just had flashbacks of the old MS v LA series in the Superdome.
Good times

Memphis is awesome. Would be a blast there. Just terrible for parking.

You never answered Murph’s question. Have you ever attended the SEC baseball tournament?
