I don’t agree with you much, but people on the Rant take sides on LSU sports. This is not a popularity contest at LSU, it’s a popularity contest nationwide with TV $$$ driving all college sports.
The Rant has a hard time it seems understanding that it’s $$$. Nobody hates LSU baseball but it doesn’t make money. Go look at the numbers for the ENTIRE CWS all week compared the number 12.2 million for the WBB LSU/Iowa game it’s not close. Now if the baseball fanatics would like to write a few mill$ checks to baseball that would definitely help.
But for now there’s NO TV $ for baseball, it’s not personal it’s business. Why is this so hard to understand? Comments like let’s put our money into Baseball instead of MBB is so shallow. WBB is a non profit sport also but then you run into the equal rights divide and you’ll never win that battle. Football is King, MBB losing or winning is national, and CBB is regional south/WCoast that’s it.

Maybe so, but don’t we think there’s enough baseball fanatics of LSU that if push came to shove that they could raise enough.
I believe that there are some $$$ boosters that love LSU baseball more than football/MBB/WBB. IMO it’s a different crowd, it’s not as sketchy as Football/MBB. Now the Admin wants to make money in the other money profiting sports but to me there’s a private entity of $$$ that just love baseball more. Surely we got some Alum that make crazy money from their sport that might give & if Skip gets involved it’ll be taken to a whole different level. The only schools that can go crazy $$ on baseball as a threat to LSU is the Texas schools.

Hated losing WW because of the lack of backing from Admin. Football was threatened and it left NO choice for Administrators.
Wade didn’t handle the situation right but he also probably knew Admin didn’t have is back. Coach K, Pitino, and Self weren’t treated the same. WW was the scapegoat for MBB around the country. Self won a Natty 2 months later. Dickhead Vitale was the natl media mouthpiece that didn’t help. SW didn’t want Wade from the get go and football being threatened made it a no brainer for Doughboy.
As the clock turned Admin changed to Pro-Wade and the rest is history. The fans got what they wanted and the MBB is energized. I’m elated always been in the General’s army. Now the silent majority can melt.

I know it’s not baseball etiquette but God we need a little bit of swag on this team. I love Milam and there’s not a better defending SS but I wish he was more vocal.
