If we're being honest, when are we not? Sometimes it's just feels like a less bad situation.

State needs to hire on of Leach's Offensive disciplines, it made MSU very competitive. It would also honor Leach.

They should hire Kliff Kingsbury.

On behalf of the Univ of Florida I'd like to donate Scott Stricklin to Miss St Univ.

It's a bad spot, IMO our best and only option at this point is to elevate Arnett to HC and Spurrier to OC and hope to salvage the class.

I don't think we could get away with giving Arnett a one-year interim tag, so we have to give him a real deal and a real shot. Who knows, it might work out.

Man you are good. People do not understand how much players loved Leach.

How many staff turn over have you had?

exactly.

He surrounded himself by great people.

Can the MSU and SEC fans mourn Leach for just one week before people start looking for his replacement? You should be ashamed dude.

You're overreacting just a tad my man. It's a reasonable question and issue raised State is going to have to deal with. NSD isn't moving, and the transfer portal isn't shutting down to mourn Leach, so people in charge at State are going to have to make tough decisions regardless of how sad this whole thing is.

I could be wrong - but I think recruits will stay with their eye on transferring next year. I am just not sure they will feel right about bailing at this point

The QB in this class apparently sent this text the rest of the class:

“We are literally the last class that Coach Leach ever recruited. We are the last guys that he wanted to join his program. We should wear that as a badge of honor.”

I got nauseous just linking a CL story, that quote is really the best part of the article, anyway

We all know how this works. Rival SEC coaches are already recruiting the MSU recruits.

If you want to hold the recruiting class together there is only one man for the job.

Wild thought and he probably doesn’t have a reason to leave unless he wants to go back to CFB and/or his seat is hot - Kingsbury.

Arnett and Spurrier are the answer. Spurrier was with Leach at WSU he knows the air raid and I think he would make a great OC

I think this is how we keep the recruits and players

I just do not see that guy fitting in here or liking Starkville. Dana Holgerson seems a better fit but he would have to be offered HC not OC

Rhett Lashlee is the name that Saban and Kirby fear.

I agree with Arnett but I am not so sure about Spurrier.

If you hire Arnett as your HC, you don't have to announce the OC until later, take your time and get the right guy.

What’s wrong with Spurrier? If he is half as intelligent and innovative as his dad he should be fine

No brainer. Make Arnett permanent, Spurrier Jr. OC and then either promote a DC from within or hire from the outside.

Stability…Stability…Stability.

Do what we can to keep the current staff intact and the rest will take care of itself.

That is my opinion and I believe that of 99.99% of the Hail State Family as well.
