No he hasn't, his OBP and OPS are both higher this year and slugging is .002 different. He's better than last year.

I love Kozeal, but his SEC stats have not been good this year.

In conference games he’s batting .187 with an OPS of .597 and just 6 extra base hits.

Conversely, last year in SEC play he batted .333 with an OPS of 1.011.

Georgia got run-ruled by Georgia Tech.

SEC is down in general, and we're in a ditch.

To be fair, Georgia Tech is really good this year.

I’m going to keep saying this, but this is the worst defense we’ve fielded in the DVH era.

Coming into this game we already committed more errors than last year’s team did all season, and we added 2 more (1 of which scored a run).

This team is just not good in any facet of the game.

We better hope and pray this team doesn't lose a game in the regional. We would be pitching Brumbaugh in game 4.

Put some respect on the only Arkansas pitcher who didn’t give up a run yesterday.

EVERY throw to first had Ruiz either stretching, fielding on a hop, or not catching the ball due to piss poor throw.

Our middle infielders were unbelievably horrible today.

Kozeal was lazy on every single throw to 1st that Rutenbar almost tore his hamstring with all the unnecessary stretching, and Souza looked completely lost in the field.

Gaeckle was just somewhat efficient we would have enough pitching.

His fall off has really hurt this years team.

I blame DVH and Hobbs for trying to force him as the Friday starter. He already failed as a starter last year and had to be sent back to the pen. We’ve seen this movie already.

So instead of selling out for arms in the pen we just hoped that Gaeckle and Fisher grew out of it and would elevate into starter roles.

5 (!!) errors today, and that’s not counting the dropped pop up in left field. Souza is playing little league defense at 2nd.

And for frick's sake Kozeal, throw the goddamn ball to 1st base like you mean it. Rutenbar is about to tear his groin from all this unnecessary stretching.

Souza needs to be benched.

His defense today has been laughably bad.

I just don't know how our pitching is this bad. Looks like a team that will go out giving up 20 runs to TCU. Matt Hobbs is severely overrated, he has Hagen Smith to thank for that.

This is just bad roster construction all the way around. I’m sure DVH would probably admit as much over a beer.

We basically struck out on the portal with the exception of Ruiz.

Niu is a .250 hitter who’s a ground ball merchant. Pompey has pop but is a bottom of the order guy who strikes out way too much. Stewart has struggled against SEC pitching and hasn’t shown the ability to be an everyday player in the lineup. Not a portal guy, but the coaches pinned their hopes at shortstop on Brumbaugh. In terms of pitching, we got zero starters and settled for a few midweek arms aside from McElvain.

It’s basically the inverse of last year when we hit on Root, Kozeal, Davalon, Maxwell, and Iredale.

Georgia's hitting coach is legit.

Either that or he's a much better talent evaluator than Nate Thompson.

Props to Wes for hiring a great hitting coach. They’ve been elite at the plate since he’s been in Athens.

I yield to no one in my love for DVH, but his refusal to move on from Nate is the reason he doesn’t already have a ring.

Absolutely zero chance we host.

RPI is too low and we’ve dropped too many games already.

Spot on. No chance we make it out of a regional.

We’ve always had elite pitching and defense to carry a middling offense.

This year our pitching is mediocre and our defense is horrendous. The number of 2 out runs we give up is mind boggling.

I said it earlier in the year, but this is probably the worst defense we've had in the DVH era.

Gaeckle should be available. He only threw 24 pitches on Thursday.

What an absolute moonshot by Pompey

If we can win Friday and spare Gabe then maybe Saturday the plan is to let Gibler go as long as he can hopefully 3 innings or so and let Gabe finish it out like old times.

True, but DVH’s approach has always been to sell out to win game 1 unless the run delta is enormous.

With how our bullpen has been this year, I think we 100% see Gaeckle in game 1 unless we’re winning by 6+ or losing by 4+.

Glad to see the much-needed rotation changes. Pretty much lines up with what we were expecting.

Let’s hope the TBA for Game 3 is an actual change this time and not just trotting out Fisher again like we did against Auburn.

Safe to say Gaeckle isn't the Friday starter...

Aloy doesn’t need to be higher than 9th in the order until he fixes his swing.

On the telecast just now when he was at bat, Eklund was talking about how he’s been hitting choppers to third because his swing is messed up, whereas when he’s right he can hit the ball to RCF well.

Right on cue as if he was listening, Aloy hits a high chopper a 3rd for a 5-3 putout.

I think Tennessee is actually who everyone thinks we are.

They’re the “more talented and better than their record” team that everyone seems to ascribe to us. They’ve legit caught some tough breaks, and are probably a 2/3 seed who ultimately makes noise in someone’s regional.

Conversely, I think we’re legitimately not a good baseball team all the way around.
