Yeah, I think it was smart on their part.

Opening week, they have a lot of OOC baseball to get him back into normal rest rotation.

Given both teams conference schedules, this game was much more important to their resume than ours. Every win matters with a sunbelt schedule, have to get at least 40. Props to them for making the right call.

Sure, but only 19 NCAA tournaments ago.

In the last 20 tournaments they have 8 CWS, 2 3rd place, 2 runner-up and 1championship, that’s top 5 in the SEC.

Stop making me defend Texas

Here is a fun thought exercise, if you limit it to the last 10, 15, 20 years - where does everyone rank. Does #1 tu even crack the top 5?

20 would include their last title, so I’ll say yes.

15 they’re probably on the bubble

10 probably not

LSU is not miles behind Texas, that’s silly, but Texas has made 38 of the 77 College World Series.

They are the most consistent top-tier program in college baseball.

It still remains to be seen if they can maintain the consistency with a few less hosting chances now that they have a tougher regular season, but credit where it is due.

I think you probably need a bit of both.
Definitely want to know who you can rely on against tough competition, and also need some low or no-pressure situations to play with lineups and pitching.

OOC sos and record are pretty meaningless for SEC baseball programs when it comes to tournament considerations, anyway

Bad competition

Yeah, manhattan pitching certainly paved the way for some gaudy offensive numbers, but I thought they were actually pretty solid in the field and our guys were able to hit around them.

Obviously the big question mark for us is pitching, I liked seeing a bunch of freshmen come in and handle business. I still don’t know if the pico, ligon, Simmons rotation will be enough to make serious noise in conference but they took care of business against bad competition.

I did for an opening baseball tournament one year, it was pretty terrible, only marginally better than not watching at all

Only people asleep are the Jaspers
If this holds,

8 in both tournaments

5 in Men’s only

2 in Women’s only

1 in neither… ouch

Only state can lose like that
Carolina isn’t going winless, they’ve been too close against some really good teams to not find at least one win.

Pour one out for Bully XXI

Bully XXI “Jak” passed away today.

He served from 2015-2023

He was a good one.
Thanks! Enjoy your drive!

You think that shuttle runs non-stop between Auburn and ATL? There are like 5-6 stops along the way

No need. I think the School of Aviation -- and most people -- realize that commercial airports come in different sizes and can handle different types of planes. Make a note of it.

It’s noted that none of these airports you’re naming are within an hour of Auburn

Possibly because ATL is 90 minutes from Auburn and shuttles run several times a day.

$65 and 2.5 hours one-way is wild, ours is free and takes 15 minutes.

You should tell the University

Yeah, look for UT 3Pt shooting to turn around in a BIG way tonight

That, and it was announced today your local airport is going to pick up a direct flight to Dallas. Starkville might finally be out of the Reconstruction era.

Does Auburn even have a commercial airport?
