You’re right. Schools absolutely could lie. But there’s really nothing whatsoever to gain from that.
Yeah. Certainly there's no negativity surrounding recruitment of these players that would cause a school to want to stay out of it.
I'm gonna assume you are a troll. Bravo.

What’s the negativity? Perception? What do you think the chances are that a school would lie about offering a player that went pro while at the same time accepting a commitment from a basketball player in the same situation?

So you’re claiming one of two things.
1: no LSU fans spoke out in the last few years about how much they hated Lane for faking injuries.
2: no LSU fans are supporting Lane for helping burn down a shitty broken system.
Neither
You stated:
“You’re telling us to love Lane”
Nobody is telling you to love Lane.

There was quite literally a thread from an LSU fan about that earlier

This autist clearly doesn't understand sarcasm.

Someone started a thread earlier saying that Lane had saved college football or was fixing it or something. Clearly, the sarcasm was lost on some.

The irony in your post is just astounding.

He knows 1300 players will be available on Monday from the NFL cut day. Want to get ahead of this mess.

I will say without any fear of someone finding out otherwise. I never disliked lane or nick saban. I actually like most of the head coaches . I like Kirby as well. maybe im not typical though.

I haven't been following this case much at all, but my general feeling is that the NCAA has no teeth whatsoever until antitrust laws are passed, so why not do what Lane is doing?
There are basically no rules in college sports right now that can't be overturned by an alumni judge.

Personally, I think its all stupid. But you cant cherry pick rules for some and not others. And I understand its apples and oranges. But they all past expiration date and should be tossed.
I dont blame any if the players or schools or lawyers for doing what they are doing. Ncaa fricked up.

Have you followed Lane throughout his career? If so, you wouldn't need to ask this.

No dude. You are right. There’s absolutely no reason that a school would want to distance themselves from the media circus.

That’s a very good point. everyone is talking about all those basketball players right now. Certainly, the focus is not on football the week before the football season starts.

None of those are good things and the NCAA will never get an acceptable collective bargaining agreement from 100+ schools. It’s hard enough in professional sports with far fewer administrators and players much less thousands in the NCAA.
