Tennessee freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon returned to practice Tuesday after being limited last week with a shoulder injury, according to a report from On3's Pete Nakos and Chris Low.

Brandon suffered the injury against Texas and attempted to play through it against Auburn before being replaced by George MacIntyre.

MacIntyre finished the Auburn game and made his first career start in Saturday's 24-17 win over Arkansas, completing 18 of 29 passes for 247 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said Monday that he has not decided who will start against Alabama this weekend.

"We'll find out here through the week," Heupel said. "We get on the grass tomorrow, and we'll work toward Saturday."

Both quarterbacks participated in Tuesday's practice, and Brandon is expected to appear on Wednesday's SEC injury report as he continues recovering.

Brandon, who won the starting job during fall camp, has thrown for 697 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception this season. He has also rushed for three scores.

The Volunteers could use both quarterbacks against Alabama on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
