Someone help me understand why Darth_Vader would announce his glaring ignorance on a public forum.

Give you a hint
Courts and legal systems are behind it, not Lane.

Just so we all have this straight. You were asked a "simple question"..."why would he lie about this?" You said "money" and much later gave a little more context, asserting that Wright lied to LSU about being recruited by other schools to get more money. Then he volunteered this information about being recruited by these other schools to a journalist. Correct?

Welcome to the thread. You’re late. You have a lot of catching up to do.

I never “asserted” anything about right or any other player or any other school.
The simple question was him asking what the benefit would be. You assumed that the intent was defamatory.
This is why when I did give more context, I worded it as such not to speak directly on the behalf of Wright, but any recruit.
You have a problem of not reading the actual words posted but reading it in the way that you want it to be read.
I’ll answer once again in a way that is both simple and requires no further explanation.
A recruit could stand to benefit monetarily if they were to lie about who they hold an offer from.
No further context or explanation is necessary. If you still cannot understand, then it is your problem and not mine.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a poster on this board exhibit such a disparity between his own perceived intelligence and his actual retardation

It seems like you are talking about his motivation for lying to LSU. Or are you talking about his motivation for lying to the journalist who wrote the article? Or both?

So you are saying that he lied to LSU about other offers, to get leverage on more money. OK. That makes sense. NOBODY is arguing that. But now...here's the best part...you think that he stands to benefit, MONETARILY, from sharing that information with the public. So now, those other schools that he lied about, know that he lied about it, and can make statements that he is full of shite. Now LSU knows (or suspects) that he lied to them and he has eroded that trust. Where is the benefit? Where is this other money coming from by sharing this information?
OR you know, the most logical thing that any person would do in his shoes, assuming he lied, would be to STFU and take his money bag that he already negotiated.
So please, oh enlightened one, tell us more about how it makes so much sense that he would lie about this to a journalist.

I never said that he did or didn’t do anything. I get that you’re desperate to argue in defense of LSU and its prospective players. But you’ll have to look elsewhere for that dopamine boost.
At no point did you ever ask me if I thought any of this happened… You just repeatedly made the assumption. “Assumption” is from your own wording.

And I don't give a shite if these players end up at LSU.

Well, that seals it. You've taken the L. Zero explanation to support your claim on how Wright stands to benefit monetarily from volunteering this lie to a journalist. Congrats retard.

You’re right. Schools absolutely could lie. But there’s really nothing whatsoever to gain from that.
