Well yeah. What he's doing here is too little, too late. Shocked that he didn't find a way to get in front of this.

Dude didn’t even know the 5for5 rule in a 5for5 case lol

I blame the NcAA though, this could have all been easily avoided if they made an exception from the beginning for the 2022 class. Who could have expected the players to sue?? ..lol of course they sued because they have a damn good argument to play

That said, Sankey likely lost his job here

I think it was clear it was coming. Sankey fired or lsu leaves the conference.

Both cant exist together. This went too far.

Sec should have negotiated this privately instead of play out in court.

He’s an absolute embarrassment. Seems to make decisions without thinking

I don’t understand how the Commissioner of a major conference didn’t read or know the 5 for 5 Ruling until today.

well his testimony was as bad as it could be. I mean look at the posts on our board from the guy that was in the courtroom and the quotes he got along with the quotes being reported.

he really looks terrible in all of this and he also looks butthurt for trying to sue lsu when they had been in constant contact with the sec the whole time. he looks like he got his feelings hurt and hes taking it out on us

he will do the same to someone else soon if hes not replaced.

you cant do what he did without even knowing the 5 for 5 rule . thats like banning driving and not knowing what a car is

Trying my hardest to be objective.

He looked like a clown when he couldn't define what an amateur is, admitted he hadn't read 5 for 5, and then said a bunch of random dumb stuff like "Once you leave, you can't come back."

Not to mention he's trying to sue in this case after taking very little action in the Bediako situation.

He just looks incompetent overall.

He’s been pretty reactionary his entire tenure. I can’t think of a single time he lead turned a problem. No one should ever accuse him of being a visionary.

So he sued LSU and Kiffin without even knowing the new rule?

Blame the old piss/chambliss trial. Once everyone saw that the SEC/NCAA clearly wasn't going to be able to do anything it was game on. If the judge wouldve ruled him ineligible then they would've seen that the NCAA/SEC still has some power.

In his ruling, Judge cited Sankey’s own testimony that NCAA rule did not exclude these players.

From all the reports I’ve seen, he admitted on the stand to not know the rule until he read it today on the flight to BR.
