I switched to japanese wet stones and never looked back. Took a minute to learn the right angles and watched a few videos. My edges on my good knives are super sharp.
I was out there. GI absolutely sucked. Should have fished Hopedale.

We went out of Empire and were in the same area as boats going out of GI/Fourchon. We caught maybe 8-9 mangroves in 2 days and also about 8 beeliners. The sharks were bad. Prob caught 2 over 7 foot.
