Lane does what he wants to do. I expect him to stay at Ole Miss but Saban saying something won't sway him.
Saban providing him opinion isn't him angling to help Bama. It could actually hurt them if LSU pulls in another good coach outside the SEC. Would just make it that much harder instead of weaking Ole Miss.

There other good coaches besides lane.
He would be a great fit but just getting rid of Kelly and bringing in a hungry younger guy is huge.

I would love to see him fired today but no harm in lsu taking a little more time to talk through options.
Season is busted either way. No home game for a few more weeks. Probably a good idea to fire him before then. He can go embarrass himself in Tuscaloosa.

How much money does lsu lose in revenue next year if they keep the clown?
Lower ticket sales, merchandising, game day revenues. Not to mention bk is terrible for the lsu brand and the cloud of negativity surrounding him.
Also nil support has to be worse as well. He was already given what he needed and screwed it all up.

Franklin is about 10 years younger. And at least make the playoffs and had a decent showing.
