If you had to choose1 opponents stadium for an away game visit...which SEC stadium/venue would you choose.

Now that the wife and I are retired we are traveling to different games each week.

Just curious which stadium is best in the SEC from an opponents view.

Neyland sucks to get into and out of but it's a pretty damn cool place to watch a football game.

Stadium or experience. There's a difference.

the only ones I've been to are:
UGA
Fla
Ole Miss
Auburn
Tenn

I would rank them in this order:
Tenn (although the seats are way too small for comfort and I'm not fat)
Fla
Auburn
UGA
Ole Miss

The following statement applies to almost all of them:

*Fill-in-the-blank" Stadium is a dump. Getting there is a bitch. Parking is worse. Trying to get out and drive home will make you want to shoot yourself.

However,

When "fill-in-the-school" is playing well, the atmosphere in and out of the stadium is the best in the country.

Of course I'm biased, but Tiger Stadium (a.k.a., "Death Valley") is one of the most storied in America.

But, it really just depends on a) opponent & b) kick-off time.

That's tough to nail down just one. There's a bunch in the league. The most imposing stadiums imo when their team is playing at a high level and a strong opponent is in town (In no order):

Tiger Stadium
Neyland Stadium
Kyle Field
Ben Griffin Hill
Sanford

In my biased opinion, I think night games at Tiger Stadium & Neyland are at the top. Kyle Field is up there. Roman colloseum vibes with 100k+ rabid fans extending up into the sky. Neyland broke the 30 year record for loudest decibel level in a college game last year. The Huskies held the record for 30 years prior to that.

For pregame pageantry with calvary unit, etc, as well as halftime show Texas A&M is number one.

Also the largest and most modern stadium.

Death Valley for any big game! 7th wonder of the world! Once voted #3 in world right behind Aztec Stadium Mexico City.

Yes. Go anywhere but nashville (if only for games), they're all great. The swamp is a bit overrated. Death Valley may be the best, Auburn is a must see.

I’ve been to every stadium in the SEC for at least one game (even Texas & OU) and been to several multiple times.

The type of experience you’ll have is based mostly on opponent and time of the game. Ex: Tiger Stadium at night against a top tier SEC opponent is unbelievably great. Tiger Stadium against a crappy non-conference opponent is just bad.

The places I most enjoyed are Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, and Auburn.

The nicest SEC towns are Athens, Oxford, Fayetteville, and while unpopular to a lot of people, I really like Austin. Great city to go to and a great venue to watch a game at.

18 best sporting events - Ole Miss/LSU

According to GQ, there's only one game that matters.

I loved going to games in Athens.
Knoxville is good too.
Oxford is a fricking blast.

But if I only got to pick one, it's gotta be Tiger Stadium. Those MF's are crazy as hell.
