Smart had one qb, Fromm.

Year 1
#2 qbr
#3 Passing yards
#3 Passing tds
True Freshman won the SEC Championship and Rose Bowl. Played for National Championship.

Year 2
#2 qbr
#2 Passing tds
#9 Passing yards, 130 yards less than Burrow.
Played for the SEC championship again out of 3 trips in 3 years

This looks about right, but I think Beck and/or Mathis will transfer by 2021 if Daniels does come to Athens.

I think so, too, but until it happens no use guessing who to when it will occur

Don't sleep on MJ Morris as our '22 QB recruit either. It's not Stockton or bust

There will definitely be other names for 2022, Stockton is just the most notable name in state and his recruitment will remain fluid depending in what happens at Carolina the next couple of seasons (basically, where is Bobo come December 2021).

Daniels should very likely get a waiver, he missed all of last season basically except the 1st half of the 1st game due to injury. I dont see how the NCAA wouldn't approve that.

Two quarterbacks transferred out and flourished. The one who stayed underperformed and got drafted in the fifth round. That's ALL on Kirby Smart.

Hindsight is 20/20 and all but letting Justin Fields walk was a mistake of epic proportions.

Don't recall any other coach doing anything quite like that recently.

It would be interesting because I think he might be better than Newman.

Because you are supposed to be establishing residency at your new school in the 1 year wait period. It's not just a sitting out penalty.

Would easily qualify for a redshirt if he had one available.

But Jawga fans told us Jamie Newman would be great.

This doesn't affect Newman

Ok you’ve convinced me. UGA has excellent qb play and a powerhouse offense that excels in big games , the rest of the league is fearful and there is nothing to see here.

we had one year of bad offense. We then fired the OC, got a transfer QB, are looking to add another, loaded up on top WRs, etc.

Smart might prove to be Les Miles stubborn on offense, but any such comparisons are very premature at this point.

That would be a good pickup for UGA. He sits for a year behind Newman and then takes the reins.

He looked good as a true freshman at SC.

Smart guy. This kid was wise to choose monken over Chaney

Those 2 years of play calling and 1 year as a QB coach in 20 years was truly impressive....

I believe the NCAA has already said no waivers this year at all.

They'll change their tune once someone claims they were called a racial slur, but continue to ignore the kids wanting to transfer so they can be closer to terminally ill relatives.

He redshirted last year technically playing in 1 game and in no others.

Johnny Juzang just transferred from Kentucky to UCLA last month (Still isnt at school there) I think it was and already got approved for a waiver to play immediately, he literally transferred for more playing time basically and that's it. No reason Daniels shouldn't get one for missing basically all of last season due to injury, losing his job, and basically little to no shot to get it back sans injury to Slovis.

You have a habit of making statements that did not happen. So, I guess I am wasting my time with you.

Love watching UGA fans change course on transfer QBs. Very similar to Saban and the spread O.
