Only played in Baton Rouge once in that span too. Only 3 times in BR since 1998.
LSU has only played in Athens once in that same span (2013). What’s your point?
Also, we’ve played in BR 4 times since ‘98 (1998, 2003, 2008, 2018)

If her hotness couldn't save the show, the writing is REALLY bad.
She can be off putting and annoying as Lorelei Gilmore but at least the show seems to recognize that and pushes back against her when she makes mistakes.
She’s the same character in Parenthood but without the benefit of HS Rory as her kid, with the benefit of a pretty supportive extended family structure, and a constant defensiveness about every bad choice she (or her kids) make. Her character more than most is kind of the hallmark of lack of personal accountability that plagues every character on the show.

To be fair, Parenthood is showing to be very of its time with regard to autism. It’s clinically off base and doesn’t do a good job of conveying life while raising a child on the spectrum, but it at least was one of the first to try to call attention to it - both autism and Asperger’s in general as well as parenting challenges. Overall, I don’t blame Max for being autistic; I blame the parents for catastrophizing his diagnosis and behavior and collapsing at every turn as if he has a developmental disability when he is just neurodivergent and (pretty clearly) develops into a perfectly intelligent and able person as the show progresses.
But the. that’s what the show does across the board that drives me nuts - EVERYTHING is an emotional, dramatic soap opera. Nobody regulates their emotions on that show, it’s just blow ups and bad decisions with little in between.
Young Sheldon I think benefits from actually developing the family dynamic in a way that is a lot more toned down and even keel with respect to the parents and the child involved. There are stressors and challenges conveyed but not everything is a five alarm fire all the time.

I’m just glad we finally got another sci fi movie with some optimism. Not surprising in that case that Weir also wrote The Martian. That both were very well crafted with great performances will hopefully inspire more like them in the genre.

One of those shows my wife has watched a couple of times through that I can’t stand. Everyone on that show sucks - the parents, the kids, the grandparents, their friends. Just everyone constantly making bad, self centered decisions and either having it excused or forgiven. Maybe the only character who actually grows over the seasons is the mom who gets cancer and… it’s because she fights and survives cancer. Whole show is a collection of pretentious, good looking couples living otherwise good lives in Northern California and still finding reasons to fight with their spouses and lament how hard parenting their kids are (in large part because they do little if any parenting at all)

My expectations for Zsaz in this universe are quite high; gimme some Arkham City-style fricked up nonsense.

And just because Linda McMahon holds that seat now doesn’t mean I want her anywhere near UGA, let alone the Presidency of the University. Idk that Kemp would be a good choice but Gov of GA doesn’t feel like any less a credential than Sec of Ed (at least not in modern times)

Texas man learns about the difference between hillbillies and rednecks.
There are a lot of people from the modern South who don’t even understand the nuances of Appalachia vs Atlanta/Nashville/Bham vs Deep South vs panhandle and old Florida vs gulf coast vs low country vs Savannah/Charleston vs acadiana vs New Orleans vs the delta. There are similarities and common threads among all of them but also a whole lot of difference and nuance.
This place is pretty damn complex when you actually start to try to understand it. Hence I always kind of put Texas as something other than the South; it has enough of its own complexity and size to stand as its own thing.
Also why unless it’s a southern writer or director at the helm, most Hollywood representations of the South devolve into caricature pretty quickly.

The Greek scenes and football culture have also become wildly popular in the cultural zeitgeist (or at least moreso nationally than ever before). TikTok culture has greatly influenced the sentiment that 4-5 years of a southern college experience is a better version of Disney world than can be found in the north and Midwest. Only rival are the California schools but those are approaching Ivy League level of competition to get in due to supply vs demand.

It’s a good question and I have no idea, honestly. I think it largely depends on how the USG is situated under the new Governor and how they want the President to function (is he primarily a fundraiser or policy setter? Or is he advancing research and faculty initiatives?) UNC has had a President with nothing more than a Bachelors so it’s not without precedent, though most Presidents without a phd at least tend to have a jd or mba

Jackson will end up winning going away, though may be hampered by the fact that Kemp won’t endorse him and the GOP in the state is kind of rudderless right now with Kemp a lame duck. His posturing as a self-made billionaire looking to seize power also rings pretty tone deaf amidst the federal govt being run mostly by people claiming to be of similar ilk. I don’t like either he or KLB as candidates, weak ballot for one of the more powerful gubernatorial seats in the country.
Collins is likely going to get run over by Ossoff as well which is fine by me. Jon is at least putting in some actual work in his position. I can’t point to a single meaningful thing Collins has done as a Rep, nor Warnock by the same measure.
Bigger question beyond November is what Kemp chooses to do in the next 5 years as he seems to have actual political momentum should he want to exercise it. Wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a run at Warnock’s seat but I’ve heard a lot of rumors ranging from simple retiring to private business to pursuing the UGA Presidency after Morehead retires.

He and Condon both are/were special talents and wonderful people. My kids have gotten to interact with both in their time here and both were incredibly gracious with their time and humble to say the least; everything you hope to see in a baseball player, worthy heroes for aspiring young ball players!
