Man Tre sucks right now but he is nowhere close to the douche that Rodriguez just showed himself to be. No excuse for any of that shite, glad Vigue sat his arse down

that ball was outside

And ump rightfully rang him up. Pulling that shite at the plate, respect the game and be a professional. He’s a great player but that was douche behavior
Wes sticking with what got us here:

Georgia
3B Tre Phelps
C Daniel Jackson
CF Rylan Lujo
DH Michael O'Shaughnessy
LF Kenny Ishikawa
2B Ryan Wynn
1B Brennan Hudson
SS Kolby Branch
RF Ryan Black
quote:

You think Shaggy gets another run at DH or do they see what Arcamone can give them? Shaggy been struggling at the plate too.

Depends on pitching matchups. Problem is Arcamone gives you another lefty bat so you’re not really trading much taking shaggy out in a lefty vs lefty matchup. Wynn is a righty bat so if it’s a lefty starter you’d rather him be in there but I also wouldn’t oppose moving Tre to 2B, Shaggy to 3B, and Arcamone to DH vs a righty.
Vigue is starting o the mound. Likely won’t have a lineup until 7-7:30. Wouldn’t be surprised if Wes keeps things as is
Gotta move Tre. And this is where Henry Allen being hurt kills us; I’d move Tre to 2B and Shaggy to 3B, put Allen back in LF and bench Wynn. But we can’t sub Wynn so we hve to live with the dance card we brought. Idk if 24 hours is enough time for these guys to get right but at this point we will be lucky to survive to the finals, no idea how we would make it through the finals if we got there
Curious if he can hold up. If so, major props for toughing it out
Bama bout to go 2 and Q and get outscored 18-0
Sooners: is Lachance playing tonight? That ankle injury was rough on rewatch, he’s a tough SOB just to leg out last game like he did

I bet both fanbases are glad they won’t face today’s pitchers. Should be a good game. Our teams didn’t meet this year so lots of unknowns for both staffs

Just happy for the Branch family. What an amazing moment as parents to see your boys get to play each other in a winners bracket game in Omaha.
Unreal performance from Joey. Went up against the best in the country and made him take a back seat. This team fuuuuuuuucks and I am here for it.
There have already been a lot of HRs in the first 3 games. Every year seems like people equate Omaha to the polo grounds when it’s pretty similar to Hoover. This team doesn’t hit wall scrapers anyway, question is if we can be patient with Volantis’ high release point
Game under weather delay. No start time has been announced

I’d wager Auburn-Bama-UGA might be bigger or as big as Tennessee-Bama-UGA

Also UGA-Clemson-Carolina has been up there in the past

I'm pretty worried going against Texas's ace who completely shut us down last year. BUT, the one thing that gives me hope is that MSU's ace also killed us earlier this year but we got him figured out in the supers. Granted we haven't faced texas this year but I'm really hoping we can figure out this guy enough to stay in it til late.

I think people default to the pitching (and for good reason with the way this park can play; it’s very similar to DFF in Austin). I’m interested tos we how we attack Volantis this year compared to last when we were basically XBH or nothing. This year we can basically win a game any way we need; mash HRs, hit singles and sac flies, whatever we can get away with we will do.

Seems like the consensus has just been that Volantis is going to hold our offense in check so the real matchup to watch is UGA pitching vs the Texas lineup. But there’s not been a lot given to what if we do to Volantis what we did to Valnicius and McPherson? And is Texas going to have the same success vs our pitching in Omaha that MSU (an arguably better lineup) had in a more hitter friendly park in Athens?

It'd also be nice if we had an elite pitcher but our starting 3 rotation is mostly just guys that are pretty good enough most of the time. If we lose tomorrow and have to come out of the loser's bracket we're probably fricked due to our pitching.

The days off in between make this a very different experience. I don’t think we’re as out of it if we drop game 1 as you’d think if this were a standard 3 day regional; if we lose, we don’t play again until Monday and if we win that second game we just play Tuesday night. Thats a not a full days rest but enough time to let some guys come back in a do or die situation
I’m sorry I don’t see 1.45 billion worth of work in those renderings. $500 mill maybe but that’s an insane amount of money to essentially just be adding sky boxes onto the existing structure. For comparison the Jags are spending roughly the same amount to add onto their existing stadium for a way nicer looking finished product and surrounding amenities.
Dan and Tre named first team all Americans by the National College Baseball Writers Association

Caden Aoki makes second team

Joey Volchko makes third team
Daniel Jackson named the Perfect Game Player of the Year. Hard to believe he won’t sweep the awards à la Condon a couple of years ago.

Btw he is 4 stolen bases away from being only the second college player ever to go 30/30
I’ve been checking flights and hotels for the past week but it’s $1500+ not counting actual tickets, food/drink, and uber for a Friday-Sunday tilt. Really want to work it out but my kids are still young so I’ve got be somewhat responsible
