was it raining or something? those jerseys are exactly the same color as Texas's but usually Tennessee's are more prison garb orange

Yeah it poured all day in Athens
Weve got a lot of shite to figure out with these arms and our bats. But damn if they didn’t hang on and find a way to claw back and win. Getting Kenny back to form both on the mound and at the plate will be huge. Lot of guys right now who have never played SEC ball before, including most of our arms. Could tell Jameson was amped after he got the 2 outs and started overthrowing before giving up the base hit in the 9th. Good news is this was undoubtedly a confidence builder for this squad, especially guys like Johnson and Calloway who finally had breakthrough moments that ultimately won us the game.
Good game and series Vols  Dead even in runs scored by both teams over the weekend, glad to be out in front of this one but was mentally prepared for the loss after the way it started.
MY GOD A FRESHMAN!!!!!!

Cole Johnson robs a HR TO WIN THE GAME AND THE SERIES!!!

After trailing 5-0 in the 3rd, Dawgs hve clawed back and take an 8-6 lead in the 7th on a 3 run tank by Bryce Calloway
BRYCE CALLOWAY!!! DOO DOO TO RIGHT CENTER!!!

8-6 Dawgs lead in the 7th
Dawgs have life! Jackson drives in 2 runs with a bases loaded stripe to center. 2 on, 1 out for Calloway

6-5 Vols in the 7th
Hudson launches a 2 out solo shot off the scoreboard

5-3 Vols in the 6th
Finally score a couple in the 5th but stranded 2 more as Jackson fouls out.

5-2 Vols through 5
Kenny gives up a leadoff double, Wes brings the hook and Pruett gives up a 2 run tank to right in 3 pitches. Add a sharp si glue to right and Wes brings the hook again after only 8 pitches.

Grant Edwards on now. 1 on, nobody out

5-0 Vols in the 3rd and I may be looking for something else to do with my afternoon pretty soon
So far, O’Shaugnessy is our offensive MVP as he at least hit into a 6-3 ground out. The other 5 guys have all struck out swinging.

3-0 Vols

Ishikawa at 41 pitches, Blanco at 31
Kenny rebounds with a nice 13 pitch 2nd inning including 2 strikeouts, looking and swinging.
Black, Phelps, and Jackson all strike out swinging. Phelps in particular needs to be bumped down the lineup; 2 straight games that he is swinging heavy through change ups. He’s just sitting fastball and good pitchers know better than to oblige and he’s not adjusting. That’s now 6 strikeouts for him this weekend.

3-0 Vols through 1
Ishikawa gives up a hit batter and a walk before a 2 strike 2 out double to score 2 for Tennessee in the first. Black then misses a hard hit grounder to score another.

3-0 Vols in the 1st

28 pitches for Ishikawa
