Cost to attend A&M is 30k for in state students. So not even including the out of state extra that is 80k x 30k which is 2.4 Billion.
That's a lot of dough.

These schools are way too big and very impersonal. 15000- 20000 is more like it.

I want to say total undergraduate enrolment in Athens was around 24K my Freshman year, and that felt like a little too much.
I can't imagine 44K. I wonder if that includes grad students and the satellite campuses?

Enrollment figures include both graduate and undergraduate students and in many cases part-time students. We used the most recent enrollment totals from every SEC school's official website. These enrollments numbers are primarily from the 2025, but it varied among schools.

So Vanderbilt is the only school in the sec thats enjoyable because of its "personalness" with Mississippi state in 2nd place?

Alabama went from the early 70's to mid 90's not moving much at all in that regard. The Alabama I went to looked similar to the one my parents went to. It was such a cool place before all the condos perked up in the last 20 years with the all the cool little houses and neighborhoods around the stadium, all with porches. Good times.
Whole city looks different now.

I'd be curious to see what percentage pays full price.

Judging by your comment you like masses of people and a massive University. That’s your prerogative. But many of us prefer a more reasonable size. Bigger definitely does not always make better.
