Either they did not reach out to Jayden before giving out the number again or they did reach out and Daniels indicated that he did not want the number back in circulation. Then LSU decided to do it anyway. Either way, bad look for the new regime at LSU.
LSU is supposed to reach out to former players before using the number?
The frick?
re: Thought it was odd in the interview that Leavitt said Daniel’s hadn’t reached out to him.

have never been on the same team. Jayden is obviously a very busy person. Jayden is also fairly introverted.
Oh damn, I didn’t know that introvert and selfish/self-absorbed were synonyms…. Learn something new everyday, I guess.

Jayden is acting like a baby. To be honest I wish they’d go ahead and give out number 9 too.
I couldn’t agree more. JD is acting stupid.

he turned this into a shite show over a recruiting promise.
JD turned into a shite show. I did not hear a single person talking about this topic until he sent a cease and desist,
Daniels doesn’t own the number.
LSU has exactly 1 retired number, 20. That’s only because it was retired in another Era.
Put JDs name on the ring, just like cannon and Casanova, and burrow.
If Casanovas number isn’t retired neither should JD’s number.
Yes absolutely. They can 5, 9, 59 or 95…. I do not care.

You so mad that you forgot how to compose sentences.

DUI Pete certainly has some insight into what Kiffin likes to do…. Kiffin certainly has some ideas on what Pete will try to do to stop him….
I’m betting on Kiffin to give Pete certain looks and formations, while predicting what PETE will do to counter him, and do something unexpected with the ball.
Basically, it’s a chess match, and Kiffin/weis are smarter than Pete… at least I think so.

Stephen A is the WORST!
But Laron Landry is a Beast! I loved watching him play!

That’s the thing. Those things that you just listed aren’t luxuries anymore. It’s the standard of living for a normal life. Things change. Do you think that having indoor plumbing is a luxury just because it was considered a luxury 100 years ago?
Exactly!!! Thank you for making my point....
Things change... So, complaining that, "Used to a family could survive on one income, and get ahead, etc" is dumb.. shite changes.
if you want to live life according to the way things were 'back then" (no cell, one car, no computer, etc...) you could potentially do so on the income, of a skilled worker....
If you want to live by today's standards, what you must do to earn that is DIFFERENT!

Most people aren't struggling because of those things.
bullshite.
1. LOTS of people are to their eyeballs in $1000+/month car notes, that are totally unnecessary.
2. Credit card debt! - most credit card is built on $50 here and $30 there that is again unnecessary.
3. Housing…. Housing is expensive, absolutely…. There is also an abundance of people who buy a big luxury home that can’t afford it. You don’t need that swimming, pool, or 3500 sqft house, if you can’t afford it.
Just because you get approved for a $500k mortgage doesn’t mean you need to buy a $500l house.
If people are realistic with their budget, and spend accordingly, they don’t end up sunk.
What I’m talking about isn’t everyone.
Like I originally said,
Inflation sucks and has put a huge pressure on the middle class. People outspending their income is also a large part of it. BOTH ARE TRUE.

Buying a TV in the 80s was the equivalent of like 2-3 months of rent. Buying a TV today is the equivalent of about 5 days of rent. Go one down this list. Internet in your home, cable TV, landlines, etc etc. Basically any electronic technology is absolutely dirt cheap compared to what it was 40-50 years ago. Whatever effect that has on an individuals personal finances pales in comparison to the effect that insurance, rent/mortgage/education/healthcare/utilities etc have.
Really? Internet is cheaper now than it was 40-50 years ago!?… how much was Internet on 1976?
Rent is more expensive, yes….
How many kids in the 70s shared a room, versus today? Middle class children routinely shared rooms, wore hand me downs, etc.
Again, standard of living, and expectations, have skyrocketed.
So maybe, rent is more expensive, in part because the standards are higher?

fact that so many people cannot grasp this concept should be studied and analyzed to find out what it is in the human psyche that does not allow them to comprehend and retain this information.
I fully comprehend what you’re saying. What I can’t comprehend is how some people don’t understand the effect of their personal choices.

You either have enough wealth to enjoy small luxuries in life or you are poor. There really is no in between.
Having cell phones is a small luxury. Having 3, or more in a family is a bigger luxury.
2 cars= luxury.
More clothes than you need?- luxury.
Multiple TVs in a single home? Luxury
Internet in your home -luxury
iPhones/tablets/laptop computers, streaming services, -luxury
Travel ball/sports/etc- luxury.
Most people don’t consider these things luxuries, because everyone has them. That’s exactly my point- the standard of living now, vs the standard of living 40-50 years ago, is massively different, and eats up a lot of income.
When someone is “poor” but still has a phone, internet, multiple streaming services, multiple cars….
Idk what more you could want for an “in between”
quote:
Too many sporting options available, spreading the pool of available players across multiple sports Youth sports that focus on simply winning rather than teaching fundamentals and love of the game. Travel leagues that are driving local rec leagues (where kids can play a sport with their neighborhood buddies) into oblivion, especially since COVID. This is particularly true in baseball.
I agree with pretty much all of this.
I don’t think travel ball should be a thing before high school age.

The "middle class" now has both parents working full time and are still pay check to pay check with little to no ability to CONTROL THEIR SPENDING HABITS..
FIFY.
Used to families shared 1 car. There were no cell phones, and all the other luxury items.
Inflation has definitely put a huge pressure on the middle class. There is no doubt about that.
There is also no doubt that people lack the self control to live within their means. Both things are true.

Actually, my 14 yo would have done better. And this guy is not cheap.
Then why the hell aren’t you and the 14 year old doing it?
When I was a teenager my dad refused to pay anyone to do anything. He viewed as a teaching opportunity.
I learned so much that at 16, and electrical contractor hired me to do some carpentry around his office/shop. He was so impressed that he started sending me on electrical jobs, before knew it I was a full blown electrician, before I started college.
My kids are 5 and 8.
Fast doesn’t even begin to describe it. I remember swaddling my oldest, and it seems like yesterday. Now she has an attitude and reads chapter books and is starting 3rd grade.
I’m still her favorite person in the world… for a couple more years.
My son is starting kindergarten, and already reading, and doing addition and subtraction in his head. He’s incredibly smart.
His comedic timing is impeccable and he will roast you without even trying….
Maaaaan, watching them grow is amazing. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.

It's like he's cosplaying as some tough guy head coach while his all time record against ranked opponents is abysmal.
He was coaching Tulane… do you think a young coach at Tulane, should have a winning record versus ranked teams?
He is currently 2-7 against ranked opponents a 22% win percentage.
When Saban accepted the LSU job his previous record against ranked opponents was 11-3, a staggering 21% win percentage… I wonder how that turned out for him….

Saban accepted the LSU job in November 1999, his career record as a college head coach against AP-ranked opponents stood at 3–11 (spanning his single season at Toledo in 1990 and five seasons at Michigan State from 1995 to 1999).
