Speaking of folks who have endured a remarkable change of opinion regarding Kiffin.
Correct. How long did it take you to go back three years to find that? But yes. since 2023 I got to see Kiffin go on a week long bender that led to a loss to Kentucky, and that led to them missing the playoffs in 2024. And in 2025 I got to see Kiffin bail on his team before the biggest game of his career.
So yeah, my opinion has changed a bit. He is a good coach and great offensive mind. Until he decides what he wants to do is more important.
I bet you have never changed your opinion about anything.

Fair enough, here's a much more recent take where you're carrying water for a coach whom you now claim is overrated, etc.

He wasn't a popular pick in the coaching circles and most programs that had openings passed him over.
It doesn't help that took the worst job in the SEC and that made an impact on the rankings.

Kentucky and Arkansas, how do you think your coaches will be ranked on this list in 4 years?
Posted on 6/30/26 at 5:18 am to SidewalkTiger
That's fricking terrible.

Beamer has beaten 4 of the guys in front of home and with inferior talent.
So he's clearly mid-pack...

What are we measuring? Who some podcasters think is best?
Because the ADs in the SEC just did this and this was how it went:
-Everyone agrees #1 is #1
-#5 was offered a job #2 wanted and wasn’t even considered for
-#4 wasn’t offered a job at #5 and #2 and when top 10 jobs opened nationally wasn’t a target whereas #2 and #5 were
-#3 was sounded out for top 10 jobs over #2 and declined
All of this happened within the last two years.
Basic logic suggests the list according to actual SEC ADs for the top 5 is:
#1
#3
#5
#2
#4
Most probably agree #2 could be #1 eventually but is more likely to run himself out of his new job eventually as he’s done everywhere else which is why he’s not actually #2 due to his risk.
But thats all speculative as we don’t have objective evidence like we do for the actual events listed above.

Sark has 2 playoff wins. Research is not hard, but it does require a little bit of effort.
To be fair to the guy, research is not a prerequisite for internet arguments.

All those words to say that lsu paid $100M for a coach who has never coached/won a playoff game.
Why did Ole Miss offer more money to keep him?
Ole Miss would probably have a natty if your AD wasn’t dumb as shite and let Lane coach out the season.

Every fanbase, outside of maybe UGA, would quickly give up their current Head Coach for Lane Kiffin.
Do you put both if Lane's balls in your mouth at the same time?
Tight fit?

I ask again what has he done besides walk out on a team get fired twice yeah that's sad if he's number 2

Well this just shows this ranking doesn't matter

Lane's was built at USC, Tenn, Ole Miss...so how the hell is he number 2. Two premier programs and he failed at both Tenn and USC...
He made Ole Miss respectable. But perhaps you grew up on the moon and don't grasp the weight of that accomplishment.

This stupid argument that he has never coached in or won a playoff game is dum
How is it dumb? It is a fact. Football is not decided on"Might haves..." or there would never be any upsets. But, upsets happen. Kiffin got Ole Miss there and it is unfortunate how that whole thing played out, but for people to say he has never coached in or won a playoff game is true.

Also, one is an upstanding citizen and the other has a DUI and an alcohol problem
Kiffin doesn’t have a DUI but it’s probably just luck of the draw. His struggles with alcohol and misbehavior are documented. I’m no Golding fan but come on.
