They are not going to expel LSU. The TV contract alone would prevent that. There isn’t another school from a different conference that could fill LSU spot. ND isn’t joining SEC. FLA would not let Miami or FSU. The shine is off Clemson etc

They allege LSU and Kiffin encouraged or coerced the players to sue the NCAA and the league. They allege we didn't just recruit them but caused the litigation against our own conference and they believe we should be expelled for that.
Tried spelling this out a thousand times last week. I'm interested in what proof the SEC has for these allegations. I think it will have to be quite strong, like FOIA requests revealing text messages from university phones, etc. for it to work.

When we kick out LSU can we add Texas or Mizzou too so we can go back to 8 conference games?

Maybe if you're paid 9mil a year to run a program, you shouldn't stick your thumb in the conference 's butthole at halftime.
Especially during litigation you have to learn to STFU.

Florida doesn't have any more power than A&M did to prevent Texas getting in. Clemson's team doesn't have to be good for the ratings to be good.

The Big 10 would be on the phone with LSU literally seconds after this happens
I think this would/could lead to the start of a super conference that would kill the SEC and Big 10
If I were the Big 10, ACC, etc, I would be on the phone telling the SEC to STFU out of fear of existence.

Seeing other SEC fans "celebrate" this is puzzling. If it happens to LSU, it can happen to you, but go ahead and clap, I guess.
Well if we ever allow kiffin to coach the Aggies we will have to accept the baggage that goes along with hiring a scoundrel.

The SEC is just embarrassing itself at this point. All for a school that has literally followed the rules from the beginning.

Imagine taking a halftime speech to keep your team engaged in the second half of a blowout as legitimate grounds for anything in a lawsuit
Sankey is going to get booted from the SEC long before LSU does

That's hardly a lack of institutional control. I think LSU has shown they're very much in control.
Kiffin's comments weren't a threat. He was making a joke about how good we looked without the players.
What are we supposed to do now? We haven't rostered the players. Do we kick them out of school?

The SEC has the authority but are adding it to the lawsuit because they know y’all likely have a corrupt judge that will throw out some kind of bullshite injunction to stop it from happening immediately. If a federal court rules the SEC has that authority then y’all are SOL legally
You have no idea what you’re talking about. The SEC lawsuit against LSU alleges FIRST AMENDMENT VIOLATIONS. Where’s the first amendment issue???
LSU and the sec have a business relationship. Any disagreement as to the terms or application of a business agreement is a CONTRACT DISPUTE. Not a Constitutional law question.
The SEC 100% has the constitutional right to kick LSU out of the SEC. Whether the Federal court will rule on the issue is unlikely and irrelevant. However, the SEC is still beholden to the terms of the contract with LSU.
The SEC deserves better leadership. This is sad.

If the SEC already had the authority to kick us out, then why are they asking permission from the court? Did the conference's attorneys get their JD from KMart? It's amateur hour (pun intended).

Lol @ thinking this is about Kiffin.
The league office is trying to gain the power to expel a member itself vs the conference membership voting on it.
Anyone who cheers this is an absolute clown.

WJOX is now saying the SEC Executive Committee is meeting Thursday to vote on LSU being kicked out of the conference. They listed off their names and schools. I didn’t have time to catch them all but they represent 7 of the conference members.

I'm sure that an Ole Miss fan has the right to say anything about corrupt judges after the Chambliss hearing.

Academics matter to the Big Ten. All members are AAU members. LSU is not.
