Lane Thomas was just such an uninspired pickup. He was literally the righty version of Yaz and it screamed making a move just to say you made a move.

AJSS was literally our best option in that scenario and did good for two innings.
The problem is the build of this team.
Also, anyone who says it's better to play in the Wild Card round instead of resting for the NLDS (yes, AA said that after 22 and 23), well we're seeing right now the problem. Our pitching is fricked in terms of alignment because we conceded the 2-seed to LA in September.

Kim hasn't hit much this year, understatement, but he has been arguably our best lately at working counts.

Really wish we would've gone straight from Dodd to AJSS. Yeah, he is just as liable to give up the homer, but he also has the stuff to mess with this lineup, unlike Mederos.
