This isn’t going to be as fun as you are hoping. Lincoln is four years ahead of Sark in recruiting to his needs. People don’t realize the defensive mess that Grinch inherited. This will be the first year that Grinch pretty much has his guys on the field.

Again.. Sark knows how to beat Grinch. TBD if he has the guys to do it this year.

I’m more curious to see how PK will do against Riley.

Im hoping that we get 2 cracks at you this year. We should be a lot better by the end of the season.

What makes you think sark knows how to beat Grinch?

Because you are going to be playing SEC teams when it matters. Not in some blow off bowl game. And when you've done that in the playoffs, you've got your shite pushed out your ear holes and eyes.

Now y’all to? Have you not been paying attention to the beating Texas fans have been taking on here for their little 12….er 10….er 8 trolling? Don’t be a loser like them. Have a little humility.

Grinch has been doing an outstanding job. Our DL is elite. Was good last year.

Kansas State didn't think so.

Apparently I should be more clear, because you don’t seem to be very good at picking up on subtlety

Sorry man. Just wound tight. It’s sucked that we’ve been so close but have fielded a terrible defense. Just want our to team to get over the hump.

I’m not sold on “elite”. I think we’ll be really good. The depth built over the last few years is evident at all 3 defensive levels. To be elite, or labeled as elite, we’ll have to do it against the premier teams in the playoffs. Overall, if we stay healthy, this is Riley’s best team yet.

I see your point. The players still have to prove it.

This is where yoyr mindset has to change. You won't stay healthy in the SEC. It's a 10+ week grind of back to back to back physical games.

Attrition is the toughest SEC opponant. In all likelihood, you will have to play multiple games against elite teams while beat up and injury depleted, every single year.

CAN OU step into the SEC and beat anyone in year 1? Probably. OU is about as talented as they come when healthy. Will probably pull an upset or two to make things interesting.

Will OU be able to do it every week through an entire season? No. Not without building more depth and adjusting physically and mentally to the grind of the SEC. You'll know you're ready to compete in the SEC when your backups have as much play time as your starters and you can swap them out without missing a beat, and dip into the 3rd string with minimal adjustment.

neither Missouri nor aggies experienced a decrease in conf wins / year when shifting from Big 12 to SEC

I dont see OU winning the SEC as often as we have won the Big 12 of course. But you SEC-SEC-SEC is so hard OU cant make it... is going to come crumbing down if we win 7-8 conference games / year right away

This shows OU wont win at least 7 SEC-SEC-SEC games a year how?

How many other SEC teams went the 2OT with UGA that year?

What was UGA SEC record that year??

We already disproved this myth earlier in the thread, why try to bring it back up? It takes two seconds to look at the records

post them then, not true

Missouri has 7th best SEC record since they joined, they were no better than middle of the Big 12 either

You think Missouri going from 8-5 to 5-7 is the same record? Missouri finished 9th in their first year.

A&M by contrast had a strong first year with the Manziel effect (11-2) but they quickly shite the bed for the rest of eternity until 2018 where they showed some signs of life again (based on records)

You need to look closer at the Big 12 records of these teams the last 5-8 years in the Big 12

No better than middle of the pack

You’re going to sit here and tell me that Missouri going 8-5 (5-4 Big 12) and then going 5-7 (2-6 SEC) is no drop off at all? lol

Im saying look at more than 1 year and more than 1 team

Win % last 6 years in Big 12 and first 6 years in SEC for both teams...

Well Auburn beat them like a drum the first time. Wasn't even close really.

Well by that metric nobody thinks you all will have any trouble adjusting…. The argument is what will happen in year 1. I would hope these teams can adjust with two full player cycles coming through
