No one is saying that OU is Kansas. What you don't realize is that their are at least 6 or 7 teams in the SEC presently who would win the Big 12 every single year if they played your Big 12 schedule. You just really don't have a clue what the SEC grind is and how crappy the teams are that you are accustomed to plaing every year in the Big 12.
If you played Alabama, LSU, A&M, Georgia or Florida 10 times there is no way you would win 5 of those. I am not even sure that you could get 5 out of 10 wins against Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky or Ole Miss. The only teams that you should be able to best right now would be Miss St., Vanderbilt, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The thing about OU that we can hate on, is every time it comes down to the CFP, you lose to an SEC school. Every time you won a bowl game vs an SEC opponent, it was a disappointed team that was on the border and didn’t make the playoff.
Look at it from our perspective. Every time we steamroll an Alabama(45-31), Auburn (35-19), or Florida (55-20) it gets completely dismissed by people like you. They didn't want to be there. They were disappointed in not making the playoffs. Blah, blah, blah.
Why the heck do we play the game if we aren't going to be given any credit for winning it? It's infuriating.
Honestly the way you guys dismiss us every time we win is really below what I would expect out of winning programs.
And, again, I will point out our losses were exclusively to SEC champions. Ain't no SEC school going to look good if they are only judged for how they do against the champion. Other than the LSU game those games have been more competitive than the games we won against the others.

The point is that you don't win. What is your record in the playoff era in play off games?
That is the point!
That is the point!

Nothing is guaranteed
Maybe you will right about the SEC-SEC-SEC and OU will go 0-9 every year

Beating our 2013 team was impressive - even though of any team ever to "not care", it's probably the team who lost a shot at a 3 peat national title on the wildest play in college football history to their arch rival AND had to watch their rivals play for the title. That was the first game that group of guys had ever played (literally) with no national title aspersions. So, again, awesome win......but if any team ever was gonna be "not all there" mentally it was that one.
That Auburn team sucked. They lost like 5 games and had just been bitch slapped by us. I mean how much credit so you want for that?
Beating Florida the way you did was impressive - but come on, they didn't have ANY of their offensive weapons.
You guys are a great program but you want to be judged as an elite one and that happens by winning against elite teams, not 3-4 loss teams in non-playoff games.

Seriously, I think OU will be in the top 3 SEC teams from the start.

SummerOfGeorge has a very reasonable perspective
it will be nice to have some big regular season games as an OU fan, we have had very few in 20 years.
OU might win some and lose some sure, but only a dumb aggie thinks 5-3 in the SEC-SEC-SEC is better than 9-1 in the BIG 12

I love Oklahoma in the SEC. You guys will fit like a glove - culturally and football wise. And you will show up and immediately be a consistent top 3-4 team who competes for league titles.

You should be. The 3rd largest stadium in the Big XII would rank tied for 12th in the SEC in 2021.

You didn't get those rankings while playing in the SEC. You've all cried for years that the rankings are biased towards the SEC. You're about to find out you've been full of shite.
A&M = 79.99 Sagarin Rating last 3 years Big 12
A&M = 86.66 Sagarin Rating first 3 years SEC
Missouri = 80.57 SagRating last 3 years Big 12

Oklahoma is like 6-5 vs the SEC in the last 20 years.
7-5
Four of those five losses were against SEC champs. The other was essentially against a Big 12 team in their first year in the SEC.
Of those games against SEC champs:
LSU - Lost by 7 and had the ball first and goal in position to tie the game.
Florida - Game tied in 7 minutes remaining
Georgia - What was it, 3 overtimes?
Anyone outside of Alabama, what has your record been against SEC champs?
We've beaten Alabama more times in that stretch than the majority of teams in your conference despite only playing them 4 times total.

2 of your 3 Alabama wins were teams that went a combined 14-12. Plenty of SEC teams beat those 2.

Not dismissing that in the slightest. Oklahoma is going to compete.
The problem is going to be, and where the adjustment is going to have to happen, that you don't get a few down weeks to get ready for Georgia. You roll into Starkville - and get banged on by them. Then, you play at home against Arkansas - and get banged on by them. THEN you go to Georgia. Then, if he scheduling Gods hate you - try to put yourselves all back together before you head to Baton Rouge or Tuscaloosa. Then you get to recoup from that with a trip to Knoxville or Lexington. And you'll win either of those games - but it still hurts.
Then you go to Gainesville. The SEC is a friggin' grind, man. Look - Oklahoma is well coached and well staffed. But this league takes a system. You have to have a hammer - not a knife - just to get through it.
Oklahoma will get there. They'll adapt. But it's going to be a shock at first.

8-6 against SEC (5 of those games against SEC champ)
most SEC teams dont play the champ 5 times out of 14, OU record vs SEC-SEC-SEC is partly due to post selection bias
25-9 if you count the games against Missouri and aggies in the Big 12
