Just a QB away??? Did you watch your team this year. You lack a QB, a back up QB, corners, a head coach, and a fanbase. What you do have is a legit stadium, lots of money, a made up football tradition and a fear of LSU!

I’ve not heard the Odom rumor and to be honest, I wouldn’t be overly excited about that hire. I’ve heard all the Lebby stuff, which I am excited about. The DC rumor that I’ve heard the most is Brandon Hall. I’m hopeful that Odom stays at Ark.

It’s rough up here right now, but I remain optimistic. We’ve had decomits from 2022 and 2023, we’ve got some guys in the transfer portal. However, I’m not overly concerned about the guys in the portal to this point. They are all highly rated guys, but guys that didn’t do much this year. Also, none of the portal guys seem to be heading to USC. It is my belief that there is a good chance that the new head coach will bring a few transfers with him aswell. I liked Riley and he was getting some highly recruited guys, but I also felt that the product that he was putting on the field had regressed year after year. This gives us an opportunity to get a guy in here with a focus on defense. Which IMO is what we’ll need making the move to the SEC

You nailed it Tut. I’ve always been a LR supporter, but saw the deficiencies. However, I don’t want to go into a bar fight with a bunch of guys on my side that don’t want to fight in a bar.

Like cyde said above - this really could be a blessing in disguise for you guys, because you'll be able to hire just about anybody you want to hire. Lots of good options out there who have a complete, balanced view on running a program.
An underlying issue, that I believe factored into Riley’s decision is our compliance department. It’s extremely strict and can make recruiting difficult. I am well aware of our past and our transgressions, but that department is going to have to lighten up a bit.

He took a lot of the heat when our teams weren’t as good as expected, however, mike stoops was the DC and the offense was light years better than the defense. Bob Stoops fired him and hired Riley. In all honesty, mike should have been cut lose long before JH. Heupel won’t come back to any type of OU function, even the 2000 NC banquet this past summer.

It’s gonna be a rough one! We’ll be ok either way. I’ve been a Riley fan but I did have concerns that he had reached his ceiling. I have no idea the direction we’re about to move, but I’ll be here for it.

Supposedly LR asked OU for $9MM/year. Joe C. Told him to go ahead and take the SC job. I have no idea who we’ll go after, but I’d be thrilled with Aranda.
