thier own actual resorcres more comparable to most teams in the American

Appearst to be becuase these are based on revenue, inlcuding conference revenue, which they get but do not create..

no one is beating any chest, im not the OP and im simply pointing out facts

so aggie hasnt played a meaningful game since pearl harbor?

You did not make it to the SEC title game. Math.

Yep

a system that compares records of teams with vastly different schedules, and frequently no head to head, and ubscure tie breakers, that have thier own web tool to understand, is the be all end all.

Makes sense

9-game SEC schedule, baw.

thats not why, there are stillllllll same # of total games ( 9+3 = 8+4)

Saturdays in the calendar window rather than 14 in other years(such as 2025)

my system fixes this, rpealce the CCGs with an extra playoff rounds

16 team playoff with the format of the SEC baseball torunament (also used by Big 10 basketball and others over the years)

First 3 rounds on Campus, Simi Finals and Final are neutral sites

Top 4 get a double bye the Quarters

5-8 Start in second round

9-16 play first round
Using ranking from before CCGs cause I wouldnt have them:

First Round 12/6

16 Tulane @9 ND
15 Utah @ 10 Alabama
14Texas @ 11 Byu
13 Miami @ 12 Vanderbilt

Host Second Round 12/13

8 Oklahoma
7 Ole Miss
6 Texas AM
5 Oregon

Host QF 12/20

4 Texas Tech
3 Georgia
2 Indiana
1 Ohio State
extra chromosome level analysis

everyone plays 36 SEC games in a 4 year cycle. 30 of those are the same for everyone (play the other 15 teams twice each)

the other 6 are 2 extra games against your 3 perms. the 3 perms were largley rivalry and geography based. year by year schedules are just matter of rotation

UGA perms happen to be down now but you really think there was some "intent" for the purpose you stated

it would have been bama uga but still

No both would be in the east

East

Bama
Auburn
UGA
Florida
USC
Tenn
Vandy
Kentucky

West

Missouri
Arkansas
Ole Miss
MSU
LSU
ATM
Texas
OU

Yes divisions produce more clear participansts for the CCG. Always have head to head within division and you have a majority of common opponents, so its a fair race. With current set up you are comparing records of teams without head to head and not always a lot of common opponents, pretty random, If CCG was priority we would have divisions clearly it is not which is why it should be cancelled

1st OU Alabama game was played in East Norman

Interstingly they are returning to what they started as

exhibition games with little meaning

CFP 1st round, betting line

LSU on paper but were lucky to win that game at home.

OU had a massive edge in yeards, oly looked close cause of turnovers
to the extent this is true the SEC teams should overachive in the playoffs

over time this will lead to more SEC teams making it in future years as the taking points change

It's a pointless debate because the conferences won't give up cash cows. I don't why people keep bring this shite up

they will because the value of CCG games is going down as thier meaning goes down, and an extra round of playoffs has more meaning and thus more value

schools will get more games on campus

re: How Does Vandy Get In?

They need everyone to lose

inlcuding 2-3 teams not playing
no need the change the rankings but yes this should be a rule for matchups, no playing someone from your conf or a rematach until the simis

system should be

Lowest (best ) seed in a round plays the highes seed, that is not a conf opp or a rematch , and leaves all remaiing seed with legal opponets. system repeats untill allmatchups are made

if applied to curretn CPF rankings matchups are

5 Oregon vs 9 Bama
6 Miss vs 12 Tulane
7 Aggie vs 11 UVA
8 OU vs 10 ND

This round is unique becuase 6-8 all from SEC so none can play Bama, Oregon gets screwed a little

meanwhile in 2025 Durham just got stuffed for a 1 yard gain on 3rd and 8

too bad, LSU only need 2 to get 200 total yards for the game
