Second, OU owns texas' arse. OU owns the Big XII.

And y'all seem to be perfectly happy with that as a ceiling for your regional program with shitty tv coverage.

I've had the fortune to see in person, a Rose Bowl win, Sugar Bowl win, Orange Bowl win, and Fiesta Bowl win....all in the last 20 years.

You worthless tit-clingers haven't won ANY ^^^^^of those big boy bowls since Hitler invaded Poland.

OU is not a regional program. OU is a top 3 blue blood national brand.

A&M will never even be the shite on OU's cleats.

That is not true! SEC will never let them in! Texas will never change!

I'd personally welcome OU and Texas to the conference.
Would add tremendously in both football and to a lesser degree basketball.

Oklahoma would be awesome.

Texas is a cancer. We've already got a big enough footprint in that area with A&M, I'd prefer we steal someone from the ACC.

What? No Cotton Bowl? I could have sworn OU went to a Cotton Bowl recently....

I’m good keeping our 1-0 record against them, tell them thanks for thought though.

The state of Oklahoma would add little in the way of profits to the SEC. We need schools from populous states like North Carolina or Virginia. Expansion is about expanding our footprint into places with lots of TV sets.

We already only play east teams once every 6 years and travel once every 12. We don’t need more teams. We actually really need less. Conferences should be 10-12 teams. These post 2011 conferences are the worse they’ve ever been. Congrats, we make more money. But traditional rivals hardly ever play anymore and same with teams that are even still in the same conference. But Yippee we can all afford sleep pods for college kids!

I think w 16 it’d actually be easier. Have 4, 4 team pods, play 3 in your pod then everyone in another pod, then one from each other pod on rotating basis, would play everyone every 3 years.

OU ranked 6th in a study on CFB markets in 2018 (alabama and UGA were only SEC teams ahead of them).

Oklahoma City is consistently a top 5/top 10 college football TV mkt, Tulsa is another in the Top 10 occasionally. And, OU has a large Dallas fanbase.

There shouldn't be a big concern about OU not bringing enough TVs.

The problem is the likelihood of a partner deal with Okie Lite. And, as mentioned, when is a conference too big?

Already is. Plus no SEC school has a historical rival withOU. TAMU only had a partial one from their Big 12 days but that’s only about 15-20 years of history. OU needs to keep playing Texas and OSU every year. Tamu Colorado and Nebraska need to go back. Unfortunately Texas is a horrendous conference mate.

Play all 7 team in region. And alternate 2 teams in other region. Play one Power 5 non conference and 2 cup cakes.

Yes they are, they’ve been a successful one but they are just as regional as Kansas State but with success.

OU is a blue blood and national brand, no doubt.

OU isn’t a top three national brand though. The top three national brands are probably Notre Dame, Texas, and Bama. Ohio State is clues behind.

I’m not sure you understand how this works, the population of the entire state of Oklahoma is under 4 million. You may have seen a study about something regarding fan loyalty or percentage of population to fandom, but it certainly wasn’t about TV markets as they pertain to marketing revenue generated through TV sets

What? They are top 15 and some may argue that they have been top 10 a decade ago but Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and LSU have all surpassed their national brand

So every other conference would have one strong team cake-walking into the playoffs and the SEC West would look like a weekly Thunderdome cage match?

No thanks. We already have three very good teams almost every year.

Send them all the way to the ACC so Clemson has to actually dress out their starters for a few games.

That's really the selling point for me. OU's sports program is on par with Florida's. Has been for years.
