That’s not a bad road slate. Road games are never easy, but those are very manageable

OM fans will deadass tell you it was because of Pete Golding lmao

I work in D.C. and there’s an OM fan in the building. He walks over frequently to talk about how “we’ll be disappointed” by Kiffin and how Golding is great.

Sept 19th can’t come quickly enough
Agreed. The counting of every ~56% chance as a 100% win is also flawed.
He’s using the data provided by ESPN, which calculated (based on their FPI model) out to three decimal places.

He’s simply taking that at face value and offering how it would predict a season W/L number.

Are you arguing with ESPN or him?
Not really. It’s fairly straightforward math.

I’m shocked that people are comfortable enough with these game-by-game FPI predictions to base optimistic season predictions on them, while arguing strongly against someone taking the FPI predictions at face value and calculating what they actually suggest for the season.

$250K is not life changing money

Depends who you are. That’s almost a year worth of income for my family. For some, that’s a paid-off small home (after taxes).
My dad hung Vince Lombardi’s “What it takes to be number 1” on my bedroom wall as a kid. Honestly, I read it so much (because it was forever hanging on my wall) that I can honestly say it shaped how I thought in a good way.

Admittedly, it doesn’t hurt that my dad valued the message and I valued my dad…so it was biased to stick.
There are 361 NCAA Div 1 basketball teams, with a 68-team tournament. The vast majority enter every season with a 0.0 chance at winning a championship.
A year with a baseball, basketball, women’s basketball, track and field (indoor and outdoor), gymnastics, golf and volleyball championship

Versus

A football championship

Yeah…it would be pretty great to see us sweep everything else. We’ll win more football championships

the day I am getting “nuggets for my own life” from Lane Kiffin’s press conference (or any football coach) it’s time for me to take a step back, and reevaluate some things.

Having spent over 2 decades now in positions of increasing organizational leadership, I can tell you that there are many books by coaches that have some great insights on how to lead effectively and manage organizations.

You don’t become successful by accident—in any field—and even coaches you don’t admire overall still have things they do very well.
Haven’t both healthy QBs been throwing loads of interceptions this Spring?

Isn't Lou Holtz another?

Pretty sure when Lou Holtz was scratching out his high school homework on a chalkboard by candlelight, his only options would have been boxing and horse racing.

Football didn’t start until post-Civil War.

Wire transfer?
Pretty sure he meant 11-point hole and not having enough to get all the way back
Honestly, I can’t wait until the starters are Richard, Fulwiley, Hines, Knox, and a talented transfer center.
