Exactly. And it may frick over one of the Mississippi schools. Both of us are on track to at least be a regional host but with this I’m not sure if they’ll allow two sites in the state of Mississippi. Even though both of us have two of the best stadiums in the country and are one of the 12-15 schools with facilities nice enough to swing it

Agreed. Same for Texas, TCU and Texas Tech. It's still early, but all 3 of those teams are on pace to at least be 1-16, with each having a realistic shot to be a national seed by season's end. Doubt they would let three teams from the same conference in the same state to all host.

Just garbage. Do better NCAA.

This is going to be as popular as explosive diarrhea in church.

Great we just paid Muschamp's buyout so that leaves us about $1.75 for a regional bid.

Point of order: do you have experience with explosive diarrhea in a church upon which to base this comparison?

BaseVOLS gonna be a national seed!

But, will you host? Better open up the pocket books so you can bid on a host site.

The NCAA is the definition of clown world.

This screws the SEC IMO.

I would be surprised if more than 4 SEC teams host.

Looks like it will be somewhat based on merit just decided early. Its not as bad, but still stupid.

How fricking STUPID can the NCAA get?! It’s like they’re intentionally trying to ruin college sports

This is not a problem when you 1) are almost guaranteed to make a regional and 2) have the nicest ballpark in college baseball.

Of course it would be very Arkansas to have them put a regional in Fayetteville, but send our team somewhere else.

This is lame AF

Guess it’s their way of spreading the wealth around so several sec teams aren’t national seeds and super hosts.

I bet they pick sites in states with strict Covid restrictions.

So awesome ballparks like Baum, Dudy Noble, Swayze, will not be in contention.

They’ll frick us both over and Arkansas too. They won’t want to allow it to be a full capacity park with no mask mandate. That would be way too normal looking for the nation to see

Arkansas will likely get fricked snd so will the Miss. teams.

I guarantee you that's why ESPN/SEC network has been hiding games featuring these schools (all of which are in the top 5) on fricking SEC+ and other bullshite.

My question is, what will they do when football season rolls around and Alabama has 100,000 in the stadium? Will the fricking announcers still have glass between them?? Will they do some bullshite where the sideline chick stands in a closet and wears a mask?

All of this is so beyond comical at this point, it's like a living breathing manifestation of the Babylon Bee.

Kendall buried the lede here. They're choosing the sites based on merit at the end of April. Basically all they're doing is picking a month earlier so that they can make sure the sites are prepped for COVID protocol.

Basically if MSU/Ole Miss/Arky don't implode, they will be hosting and they'll host the SR even if they don't make it.

Eh, the friday night game between Arkansas and Ole Miss is going to be on the SEC Network. I believe most of this tv scheduling was made before the season so I don't think that is really an active angle.

Do you think if both State and Ole Miss are top 8 at the end of April that they’ll give both of us a super host? I don’t. One or both of us will get screwed if that happens.
