re: House of the Dragon Season 3 Trailer Released
Posted by Sus-Scrofa on 4/27/26 at 11:24 am to Mickey Goldmill
I still remember the first teaser for season 2. It ended up being the last scene of season 2
The show has not been nearly as good as it needs to be to survive these breaks.
That said, unless they just try to make it bad on purpose, it almost can’t be bad from this point forward as long as they stick to the story.

Rocky repeatedly makes things and mods to the Hail Mary out of scraps in days/weeks that would have taken entire teams on earth months/years to do.

Initially I thought the ending was a little corny. On the way home from the theater I started rationalizing why Grace would turn his ship around for the true Hail Mary and pursue Rocky’s ship. On the surface it was asinine. Risking all to save an alien. Not seeing your mission carried to completion and saving earth seemed foolhardy. I understand he sent probes with the elements and data for earth to survive, but not seeing it home was an inherent risk to earth. But all the layers in the decision started to make sense. Of course the friendship, the bonding, saving each others lives, the insanity of 4 years alone going home, etc. But what I think wasn’t extrapolated on was by saving Rocky’s world, there would be two efforts in saving the galaxy. Both from a different viewpoint. So it wasn’t really selfish on Graces part to not ‘carry the ball across the goal line’ by not hand delivering his results.
Haven’t seen the movie, so I don’t know if they included it, but there’s a scene in the book where Stratt rips Grace a new one and describes exactly what he is that makes his decision at the end a complete character arc.

Just remember, everything Dems say is projection.
They try and push the right wing extremism as the greatest threat to America line because they know exactly what left wing extremism is doing.

The high holiday for my family is the Fourth of July. It was my grandma’s birthday.
After my grandparents died and my dad and all of his siblings were grandparents, they decided to stop doing family gatherings on Christmas and Thanksgiving and have the annual family get together on the Fourth of July.
I haven’t been in 15 years. It’s a 12 hour drive and they’re campground people. I’m thinking of going this year. With the 250th, it should be the ultimate white trash throw down. Splurge on fireworks for the nephews.

How’d they end up in the lumber section?
I mean, the whole thing is weird, but that stands out for some reason.

My parents’ rule on the mower was age 11.
They pulled a fast one on my brothers and me. Built it up like it was something special like being able to drive.
Couldn't wait until I could mow. Of course, since I was the youngest, the job never got passed on again until I graduated highschool and moved away.

Yep. The gastritis gut things are a different thing to deal with.
Go in first when it seems minor. One day and some antibiotics. Gets a little worse, turns to two days, etc.
Day one in no way seemed a “just go ahead and put her down” situation.

I had a dog get a terrible gut infection thing. It was real touch and go, but four grand later, she pulled through.
To the vet’s credit, when two months later the same dog started showing clear signs of a brain tumor, the vet handed me a script for prednisone and said call us when you’re ready to make the call. There were other treatments available, but she wasn’t going to offer them.
Dog was 14.

If you lined everyone up on that show and told me to rank them on who would commit suicide, he would probably have been near the top of the list.
