re: Judge Cancels Trial Because Lawyers on Both Sides Used AI
Posted by Sus-Scrofa on 6/11/26 at 6:42 pm to UFFan
The problem with AI for legal research is that it’s smart enough to give you the answer or argument it can tell you want to make based on the question or prompt. Facts and actual citations be damned.
That’s not the purpose of legal research. Legal research is to determine if the law supports the argument you want to make with the facts you have. And then you put that in writing.

Don Quixote is weird, but worth it if you can get into it.
It’s definitely not a written version of the cartoon from growing up.
Go with COMC.

re: The UK is drafting a law to scan every photo, video and message on every phone in the UK

All the phone manufacturers and phone companies should call their bluff.
“Due to this law, we are no longer providing our products or offering our services in the UK, effective immediately.”
Then shut it all down.
Now that would cause a government overthrowing riot.

That was the only thing in the trailer I was disappointed with. They've got time to clean that up, hopefully. I'd rather not see them if it's going to look fake - just keep them in the dark.
They’ve got pretty good with the big cats and even bears, but just can’t figure out canines without it looking fake.
My theory is that it has something to do with facial expressions that makes things like CGI big cats and bears easier.
I’m surprised they didn’t stick with a bear. There have been multiple reports of bear attacks, but proven whole pack wolf attacks on people are basically non-existent.

All the CGI advances they’ve made over the years and still nobody can make a good CGI wolf.

It always cracked me up that Michael Rapaport was so bad in season 5, that the writers were like “we hear you fans” and went out and got Sam Elliot and Mary Steenburgen for the final season.

Sounds like daughter is a lost cause.
May as well get half of Clinton’s money in a few years and hope your daughter straightens her life out in her 30s after he dies.

This is actually kind of entertaining with the announcers calling it like a real game.

Similar to in Iran, these movements/protests are like big gusts of wind.
You have to get what you want/succeed in the main gust, because if the thing you’re trying to knock down survives the initial blow, that thing will entrench and the gust will lose momentum.
Big question here is have we seen the main gust, or is this just build up?

Can’t even fill a gas tank on one transaction anymore, so this probably isn’t as successful as it sounds.

I try to stick with dewalt. Batteries that work on both shop tools and lawn tools is handy.

It’s like an R rated adult version of Hatchet with a dog thrown in
Which is basically the best tagline for a movie of all time.

How long before a federal district court judge in DC decides inexplicably to intervene and overturn this state court jury verdict?

Talked with a friend living in Belfast this morning and asked what he expected.
He said there were riots last summer for some things that weren’t as bad, and there have been worse things happen that didn’t result in riots.
He didn’t make any predictions, but said that when things do turn south there, they turn south really quick.
