Eric Musselman (Arkansas)
One day my mind may be changed, but I’ll never worry about a basketball coach voluntarily leaving Fayetteville. It’s never happened before and it sure as shite won’t start with the dumpster fire that is Indiana basketball.
Muss is about to get paid. Danyelle’s got family in south Arkansas and they seem to enjoy the area.
I think the funniest of all is the talk from Minnesota fans who actually believe they’ll be able to hire him away from Arkansas.

Honestly I don't think Bama's situation is that much different. If Oates gets run over by UCONN/Terps or god forbid Pitino pulls a miracle out of his arse your fans would be singing a different tune with all the seniors leaving and a 20m buyout.
Some may but the intelligent ones will not - sure a blown loss to Iona would be rough, but it seems pretty unlikely as a 17 point favorite. UCONN is a good team and it would be a disappointing loss. We have the ability to make a deep run, but its not a given.
We do have 3 seniors leaving but Quinnerly has been our 2nd best player behind herb (arguably tied with him) for the last 5/6 week - have several young guys stepping up lately, getting our best recruit back next year after missing this entire year with some good young people coming in.
The future is looking very, very bright

One name to remove from Indiana’s search already: Nate Oats.
Sources say Oats has no desire to leave Alabama for Indiana for multiple reasons, one of the obvious ones being his recently signed contract extension that includes one of the biggest buyouts in CBB at present.

They’ll end up bringing Alford home when their fanbase realizes Brad Stevens isn’t walking through that door.

Indiana will not consider former Hoosiers star Steve Alford as a serious candidate, sources told @stadium.

Typical Arkansas fan delusion.

Coaches have voluntarily left much better programs than Arkansas. It can absolutely happen to you too.
FWIW I don’t think Musselman is going anywhere soon.

How is it delusion? The support, facilities, and local talent are all excellent. It is one of the easiest places to be successful at a high level in the country. The only reason we sucked in the 2000's and 2010's is because Jeff Long didn't know how to vet coaches and make good hires. We weren't even that bad even with the shite coaches we had to go through.

I've been worrying about this for a while now. Not sure if Muss would leave, but Indiana might be very tempting. He does have a lot of incentives to remain at Arkansas, though. He and his family are great, so I really hope he doesn't.

It’s literally never happened and Arkansas has had great coaches. So not sure exactly how that’s delusional.
Facilities, fan support, money, and recruiting base. It’s all here.

They not only will definitely stay, they SHOULD definitely stay. Indiana really hasn't been relevant in a long long time. Why would either leave the great situation they're in now?

I honestly don't see it. No question that Indiana historically qualifies as a blue blood but Arkansas is a legit Top 20 to 30 program all time, has excellent facilities, plenty of money, and less of meatgrinder of a conference to compete in every year. No reason to leave except for a select few historic programs.
As for Oates, I respect the heck out of Indiana basketball but losing him to the Hoosiers doesn't scare me near as much as if say...the Michigan State or to a slightly lesser degree the Syracuse job came open. He has deep State of Michigan ties and it would be awfully difficult to hang on to him especially if Michigan State goes hard after him.

Former Chancellor John White was able to tee off with the first bad PC hire in Stan Heath.
