Most decorated season of any SEC player in history.

And Derrick Henry had the best season ever statistically of any sec running back. That doesn't mean I'm putting him on my Mount Rushmore.

L O frickin L at anyone even casually thinking that Archie Griffin should go on this, presumably the 4 best CFB players ever. It's an absolute sham that of all the fantastic, generational players the game has seen that he is the only repeat Heisman winner.

His '74 season was excellent so no qualms there. But the '75 season is an absolute joke. His stats?

262 carries for 1,450 yards (5.5 avg), 4 Touchdowns.

-had the 8th most carries that year. You would think with such pedestrian numbers maybe he missed half the year or something. Nope.
-He was 6th nationally in rush yards. Of note is that Tony Dorsett had over 200 more yards on the year in less carries!
-He was 54th in YPC
-He ranked in the mid-100s in rushing TDs

There are probably 100 other players deserving of this fictional honor than he is.

Jordan Jefferson

Got to meet him at the airport in Denver a couple of Decembers ago. Had no idea he was that tall (6' 5"). He was sitting next to me while waiting for my son's flight to go to NOLA.

My son noticed him before I did and texted me. He says, hey that's Jordan Jefferson. JJ stood up and I thought that can't be him, I thought he was only 6'2". But it was him.

Anyways, He's a really nice guy and he was cool to talk to a Bama fan. I think at the time, he was heading to a job at a high school in NOLA doing some coaching. Didn't find out what he was doing in Denver though.

Robbing LSU of a title is now legal in Colorado? Man, they are progressive.

Thank you,I agree whole heartedly. It was a wth moment when griffin got number two...

I felt like it was an era of wanting to set a precedent, like ali winning back his heavyweight title...

It was the beginning of the end for the heisman for me.

The heisman is a joke now..

Because the only offseason longer than CFB is GoT.
