Imo, Nebraska 1971.

Yep, I agree. I watched the game on TV and they just destroyed us from the start; also watched Nebraska whip Oklahoma 35-31 in the 'Game of the Century' that year as well, one of the best games I've ever seen. That Nebraska squad was the only team in poll history that defeated the teams that finished #2, #3, and #4 in the final AP Poll...

After they spanked us in the '72 Orange Bowl 38-6 (we were undefeated and ranked #2 at the time), this was Bear's response:

Paul (“Bear”) Bryant said tonight that Nebraska's Cornhuskers “toyed” with his Alabama football team and he shouldered the blame for the Crimson Tide's worst bowl beating.

“We were beaten soundly by a far superior football team. Their team was much better prepared, too, than ours,” a dejected Bryant said in the Alabama dressing room after Nebraska's 38-6 rout of the Tide in the Orange Bowl game.

“Actually, most of the time they just toyed with us,” said Bryant. “They were one of the greatest, if not the greatest, I have ever seen.”

Was this a pick or a catch?

During the 2014 Iron Bowl where a similar play happened, the announcers stated that if it's judged that both have possession of the ball but both are in the air, the player who lands first with a foot inbounds is considered the possessor...not sure if that's the actual rule or not though...

Keys ran for 546 yards on 17 carries

That’s over 32 yards per carry…unreal…
Jeff Rutledge threw 5 interceptions all year in 1977…and all 5 came in a single game…Bama lost an away game at Nebraska (31-24), their only loss that year…
Did Brooks play last week at all? Damn, he looks great in the slot…

but Talty just barely missing a long FG attempt (over 50 yds) is no reason to diss the young man.

Especially considering Simpson took a sack the play before that made it about 7 yards longer than it should’ve been…

Both of his kicks were right on line so I’m hoping that’s a good sign…
From what I saw yesterday, it appears to me that Ty doesn’t throw well on the run, at least when it’s not a designed play. With this offensive line, that’s a problem…

There is absolutely no threat of a pass rush

Yep, we’re weak in the trenches; no pass rush and we can’t stop a pass rush…
The only thing worse than our O-line is our D-line…
No pass rush, no one is staying home. Malzahn relies on misdirection, gotta stay home and seal the edges; if not, gonna be a long game…

Why are they scared and why is the SEC trying to protect them?

In 2010, Bama played 6 SEC teams coming off a bye week. If you wanna be top dog in the SEC, better learn to live with that target on your back...

my money is on bama. If you cant beat em, buy their Qb

We lost to Pavia once. Auburn loss to Pavia twice in a row and your coach has loss to Pavia three straight times...think y'all had more motivation to buy him than we did...

Snitker is not good.

6 straight NL East titles, 7 straight years making the play-offs, 1 World Series title, playoff winning % over 50%, and 1 NL Manager of the Year award in 9 seasons…all in a division with two large market teams in the top 4 in MLB in payroll…

You and I have different definitions of good…

I would argue that Wallace Wade probably makes the top 10 over Shug and Dye.

Wade never coached in the SEC; Bama played in the Southern Conference while he was coach. He left in 1930 and the SEC was founded in ‘33…

Last two games, we can't seem to get off the blocks. We played Auburn even for the last 38-and-a-half minutes of the game and we lost by 9. We played Mizzou even for the last 37 and a half minutes of the game, and we lost by 12. We can't afford to start games in a 9-0 or 12-0 hole in the opening couple of minutes against good/great teams and still expect to win...

re: Saban forcing Hurts out??

Can New England not claim Tom Brady since he finished his career at Tampa Bay?

Hurts started at both schools, he won awards at both schools, he won conference championships at both schools, and made the play-offs at both schools…in addition to getting degrees at both schools…both schools can claim him…
