For my own Mt. Rushmore I am going with two offensive and two defensive players. I am basing mine not just on how good they were and what they accomplished but also having a sort of "folk hero" status at their alma mater.
Offense
1. Herschel Walker: Heisman and national champion.
2. Tim Tebow: Heisman and two time national champion.
Defense
1. Charles Woodson: Heisman and national champion. Only defensive player to win the Heisman.
2. Lee Roy Selmon: Outland / Lombardi winner. Two time national champion. #1 pick in the draft. Played with his two brothers, who were also All-Americans.
Offense

You can’t really do a proper Mt. Rushmore for CFB or the NFL. Too many different positions.

EtA: if I had to add a defensive player, I'd drop Campbell and likely add Hugh Green, Selmon, D. Thomas, Suh or Ronnie Lott. That is much tougher for me than offense.
