No one is gaslighting you, you just have no idea what actually happened and are spewing opinions based on flawed information.
For instance, you keep insisting that LSU is attempting to keep the SEC from enforcing its rules, by way of the courts, yet LSU has filed suit against no one.
If your stance is that LSU is suing through the players as a proxy, that also doesn't work because the SEC rules didn't exist when that suit was filed.
I'm not arguing about it.

I don't blame you, you should've never started without a better grasp of the facts.

Ole Miss coordinated with TC to sue the NCAA.
Right. But not the SEC. And he hadn’t signed a professional contract or played pro ball. Those are the differences yall leave out and pretend are irrelevant
Just regarding that...
Ole Miss certainly had a role in Chambliss' legal dealings, or at least some knowledge thereof. The NCAA ruled him ineligible, stating he had completed his eligibility. That is just as ineligible as someone with pro contact. You can't play forever in college.
So, Ole Miss chose not to pursue or retain Simmons, and I have no clue who Ole Miss' backup is. In other words, there was no effort to line up a starting QB other than Chambliss.
In contrast, look at BYU. One of the guys in the Pyburn case was an OL from there. Not just any lineman, he was a 3 yr starter. Sure sounds like someone you'd like to plug right back into the line, right? And as I recall, he didn't have the disqualifiers that Wright etc did, he didn't go to minicamp.
So, BYU came out right after the ruling saying they had already filled that spot, and would not pursue him.
They obviously weren't planning on his suit or him returning.

Feel free to disengage from this topic if you can.
Something tells me you won’t be able to. Kinda like when Ballcuck announced he was leaving the discussion in his thread yesterday only to immediately continue unabated for the following 12 hours (and counting).

Sankey and other SEC schools didn't care about Chambliss suing the ncaa over a redshirt issue because every team has guys try and get a medical redshirt. EVERYONE was against seeing a guy in an NFL jersey during a preseason game and then suiting up for a college team the next week.well everyone but lsu. Lsu fans want to compare this to Chambliss but the comparison is Sorsby. Texas tech said just because everyone else has an issue with a player gambling on their team, we don't and we want to win. The BiG 12 and their schools said otherwise.
It's crazy to think about what would have happened had Sorsby been enrolled at LSU when all this happened. Guys like Moscano would be calling for lawsuits over discrimination of those with addictions.

think the thing that pisses me off more than anything about Lane leaving for LSU is I now know who Matt Moscona and Blake Ruffino are
As an opinionist, I can see why you dislike Moscona. He’s a troll. He’s biased. Makes sense.
But this is wasn’t that. This was 90% informational.
Ole Miss doesn’t have a media member that is as intellectually honest and professional as Moscona.
You guys only get lies. You don’t have anyone giving you objective info that might not be positive.
The dude has a named party in the suit giving quotes. She happens to be extremely reputable and credible.
And nobody here seems capable of evaluating the lawsuit and seeing if what she says is right.
So you are working from a position of ignorance and have nobody to give you the truth.

So, you're saying the SEC and its other member schools colluded to keep Wright/Harris from playing collegiately, despite them receiving the appropriate legal action to play (just the same as someone like Chambliss)?

It’s not beyond the realm of possibility Sankey winds up with criminal contempt charges.
It’s far from the “likeliest” outcome, but it’s not farfetched either.
Would be the funniest fricking shite to ever happen.

Don’t the SEC lawyers have to dismiss now?
Liz said it was voted on with no conditions attached and the lawyers tried to make LSU admit wrongdoing in the joint statement. LSU refused as they should.
The SEC is trying to get a public win. That's all this is at this point. A very expensive public win.

I'm sure Sankey is thankful that his useful idiots are ill-informed enough to support it.

Attorneys lie. Politicians lie. Women lie. Moscana's podcast doesn't negate those facts.
If only there was a way to verify all of her claims.
Have you read the lawsuit? Are her claims true or lies?
Have you heard Sankey’s quotes from SEC media day? Are her comments about that accurate or lies?
She made a bold claim that The presidents voted to dismiss. That won’t be easily proven. But it was reported weeks ago.
Do you have a single source with any credibility that denies her claims? Any of the presidents or the universities? The SEC itself? The SECs attorneys?
Can you undermine her credibility on anything she said?
Or, are just unwilling to consider that she’s telling the truth because you don’t like that truth?

quote:Yeah. And you don’t see how the SEC and its other members would be a little sore about a Baton Rouge judge doing that for two former Ole Miss players that played for Kiffin that happened to be going to LSU?
that only happened because the SEC created their rule.
Y’all can say LSU had no involvement in this but you can’t expect everyone to just throw their hands up and say “oh well. They said they didn’t do it”

Sure, but the conference shouldn't threaten expulsion and sue LSU just because they got their feelings hurt. That's irresponsible and only undermines the conference long term.
The conference should make rules and enforce them, and leave it at that.
As for involvement, I would question why LSU/Kiffin are assisting 32 athletes with gaining eligibility to play other sports and for other SEC programs. Makes no sense to me.

It isn’t a happened to be situation. The suit was in Louisiana because the kids need relief in Louisiana to play for the team they want to play for.
And how intellectually dishonest can you be when Ole Miss just went through the same thing with Chambliss.
I don’t know if you guys just get sheltered from objective info like I suggested above or if you are just amazingly dishonest.
