There’s a coding efficiency created by AI that reduces the need for energy and chips. This would hit the chipmakers but the Anthropics etc would flourish.

Usually results in the opposite effect.

A breakthrough in efficiency would result in higher demand for chips, memory etc.

But my generation does seem to expect a more luxurious lifestyle and more "bells and whistles".

That’s every generation.

The average first house for baby boomers was way nicer and substantially bigger than the homes they grew up in.

I ain't putting the QR sticker on my car either so idgaf.

No way, man. He's a world-class science genius who understands not only golf but science better than anyone out there. The problem is the equipment and the game of golf just hasn't caught up to him yet. He tells these guys exactly how to build the clubs based on his science calculations and they're just not able to understand how it's supposed to be done.

Major championships are sort of a waste of time at this point anyway because only old people care about them and because the courses aren't optimized to a modern skill set like Bryson's. YouTube golf is the next big thing and Bryson is going to be growing the game like crazy once he has time to dub his videos into a bunch of different languages. Side note: Americans think they're the center of the golf world and it's actually hilarious to see once you've been all over the place and grown the game through a proprietary blend of golf and science.

Anyway, Bryson is the best golfer and once he makes a 3D printer that's capable of understanding his level of knowledge, it's going to be game over for the rest of these guys. Everyone else is dumb and he's smart and also very underpaid.

A Boomer bought that house in 1985 for $80,000 and sold it in 2024 for $730,000

Hell yea

His just looks especially bad to me for some reason

Light grey just looks cheap and sloppy, especially on sweatshirts/sweatpants.
A lot of these are really bad examples of affordable homes lol.

You posted homes being listed for over $300/sqft

Hell one of them is over 400/sqft
I played last week and shot 76.

I played yesterday and walked off after 9 holes of mishits and lost balls. I used to get these every now and again but haven’t had an outing like this in a few years.

My best strike of the day was thin and barely caught the grooves toe side. Was miserable.

This is ugly?

To anyone with eyes, yes. Clearly.

I understand why some prefer the isolation of a Rolls-Royce, but to me, that is like going to a concert wearing noise-cancelling headphones

To me the Cullinan would be like getting great seats to see the Berlin Philharmonic, while the Purosangue is like going to a rock concert but sitting stage left in the bleachers, while the 3RS/296/Termmerario drivers are in the pit.

What did your father do that prevented him some spending the hours of 6-10PM with you?

What kind of self-respecting man hits the door at 5PM every day? Lazy fricks, I swear.

Again, it is to allow their customers to stay in the family if they are a guy or gal that needs more grocery or luggage space than their 812 or 12Cilidri has and/or lives in a place with a real winter. I think one has to admit a compact AWD CUV with a naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 putting out over 700 prancing ponies is fricking cool, never mind they were able to engineer a slight rear weight bias.

Meh. I'll likely never have this "problem" so who cares but I just would never want a objectively worse experience than any of their other offerings. To me at least, an SUV/grocery getter/family hauler has no reason to be extra sporty. For that money I'm going the complete other route for my "practical" car. Why waste a moment in a Purosangue when you can drive a Cullinan? If I want elite tier driving experience, I'm not picking any SUV/CUV so the purosangue and the urus never register.

A do-it-all vehicle may be able to do it all, but it does it shitty compared to vehicles fit for the purpose.

His point is completely retarded because it ignores reality.

Old Metairie lifestyle is killing you

I'm doing quite well in my now 3rd Old Metairie home. Needed a bigger house to accommodate all these damn kids my wife is spitting out.
quote:

Let's use this as an example:
1. Be an early buyer in a DSLD subdivision.
2. What's an early buyer? Buy the 1st house finished in the new subdivision.
3. Say that house is 203K
4. There are 60 homes in the subdivision
5. In 18 months, the subdivision will be completely built out.
6. Sell your 203K home for 230K once the subdivision is completed.
7. Profit = 27K

Do this 3-4 times in a brand new DSLD subdivision
and with in 6 years the young couple will pocket 110K downpayment.

New Couple says:
"Oh it's not worth doing that and having to move so often and deal with all of the dust and construction going on"

My response:
Well, you don't want it bad enough.

This might be the most retarded thing I've seen in one of these housing prices threads lmao.

I can't imagine ever spending money on a ferrari/lambo/lotus etc SUV.

It's just a MUCH shittier version of what you really want. Why bother?

617 Codifer, 315 Helios, 314 Hesper. Those are the most recent sales for similarly sized houses in the area, none are over half a million.

You realize all 3 were sold for lot value, right?

Hell 315 helios didn’t even include pictures in the listing
