The SEC presidents voted to drop the lawsuit as part of a settlement agreement with LSU. LSU rejected the agreement because they refuse to admit any wrong doing and they refuse to promise the SEC they will not use the courts to try to challenge the rules in the future.

Thus the lawsuit continues.

The claims Sankey is going rogue and everything else is just bullshite.

No settlement agreement includes an admission of wrongdoing. They expressly include a denial of any wrongdoing. You're out of your depth.

That is not what Murrill is claiming. She clearly states in the interview that the vote was for an unconditional dismissal.

The league pushing for a settlement or statement of wrongdoing from LSU would not be aligned with a vote for an unconditional dismissal.

The SEC cannot ask anyone to make this promise especially if the league breaks the law or ignores its own bylaws. (Not saying that’s what’s happening here.)

As an LSU fan I hope they drag it on for years. Free publicity. No such thing as bad publicity. We have already had a coach say why go public and try to down talk all the noise when it is actually helping us more than hurting on the recruiting front. there are a lot of young kids out there that love to jump on the us vs the world type team with a villain type mentality.

This is weak cocksucker trollery

If shes lying you'd have any number of the 16 presidents saying she was.

Has that happened? Any SEC president called this out as fiction?

When a chick accuses a dude usually the dude says its not true in defense of himself so im curious about this gaping hole in your argument?

Like Sankey, 3down10 seems intent on making things up as he goes along.

Remember when that dude thought being a monopoly was a requirement for an anti-trust violation?

Tuscaloosa is not sending their best and brightest, folks.

He spent a good portion of yesterday arguing that LSU should admit wrongdoing for.....reasons.

He could never nail down what they actually did wrong.

I’m also coming to the realization that Sankey makes a lot of threats

We’re gonna leave the NCAA

We’re gonna kick LSU out

We aren’t gonna play 9 conference games.

Where are you hearing this? The Louisiana AG says the conference presidents voted to drop the lawsuit, unconditionally.

Your own AG.

“I don’t think LSU should ever concede that, because we didn’t do anything wrong and nobody’s ever told us a single rule that we violated; and this has all been concocted without any claim ever being made against LSU for any violation,”

This suggests a settlement and LSU's refusal to agree to it. The SEC was asking for something and LSU refused it, aka a settlement.

Attorney General Liz Murrill attacks SEC’s refusal to dismiss lawsuit against LSU

And then you combine with with the statement the SEC made while filing the latest.

Defendants' threatened interference with the SEC's First Amendment freedoms is ongoing," the conference said. "It is notable that Defendants never say in their brief that LSU is committed to following the Professionalism Rules, maintaining institutional control, or not interfering with the SEC's First Amendment right of expressive association going forward. Any such claim would ring hollow anyway, because LSU continues to flout those Rules and principles.

As well as:

If the presidents voted for outright dismissal I'll be completely shocked if the SEC continued with it. Maybe that is what happened but I highly doubt it. It wouldn't make any sense.

You did all that work when everything has already been laid out for you.

Murrill said the presidents voted to drop the lawsuit, unconditionally.

But then the SEC office said it would only drop the lawsuit if LSU agreed to stipulations, such as admitting wrongdoing.

This isn't that hard.

I'm all for this being dropped and people moving on but do all these lsu fans really believe LSU did nothing wrong? Do you truly believe LSU did not help coordinate the lawsuit against the NCAA and the sec? Meeting called to discuss potentially kicking lsu out but it was all just jealousy of LSU?

I told you over and over. You violated the rules regarding pro players/professionalism.

The lawsuit was filed before LSU took any actions and they clearly had every intention of moving forward until then.

The claim that "we didn't roster" doesn't and didn't matter.

No one can seem to point to any rule that LSU violated.

Let's say they did and all of that is 100% true (which is a pretty big jump). Why is that wrong? Do you think LSU is the only school doing this? For instance, did Ole Miss coordinate Chambliss' lawsuit?

Ole Miss coordinated with TC to sue the NCAA.

Fine, the SEC office and lawyers have gone rogue.

They're just ignoring this over and over and over and over ..... it's comical that adults do this.

It's almost like they believe you and I personally could just kick them out

I've never seen adults get this angry over something that literally has no effect over their own lives

That’s quite a jump to conclusions there.

Again, the SEC has no right to tell anyone (a coach, an AD, a player, a school, a media partner) that it cannot take future legal action against the league. The SEC keeps crying about its 1st Amendment rights here but doesn’t seem to care about anyone else’s Constitutional rights.
