Not sure about the World Cup because I didn't watch but the Olympics did not broadly ban Russian athletes. They disallowed the Russian team to participate and the national anthem would not be played.
So if LSU does not refer to itself as a Russian team and doesn't play the Russian national anthem we're cool, right?

Russia has been horny to invade Ukraine since the end of the USSR. Our leadership has significantly weakened in the last several years so they took the opportunity.
